First and last time ever going to a Firehouse Subs. The place had no AC so it was extremely hot which is totally unacceptable and there was sweat dripping down the staffs face while making food. The staff was nice but the service was so slow, probably because it was so hot. The food was disgusting. We got the Italian and the steak and cheese subs. The Italian sub tasted sweet and the bread was super soggy. The steak and cheese meat tasted good but the bread was soaking wet. The pickles they give you on the side were also nasty. I would not recommend to anyone, super disappointed and will not go back.

We snuck in for an early dinner and I ordered the Italian with gluten free bread. I’ll be honest I was going into the experience understanding that I have not been too many places that had good tasting gluten free sub rolls or bread. The texture and taste is never like regular bread. I’m an avid homemade bread baker so I know what a good loaf or gluten free bread should taste like. This bread didn’t disappoint and held up well with the sub ingredients. It was delicious. The meatball sub never disappoints and of course I got their delicious cherry limeade but I got the sugar free option. They have many options for those with dietary restrictions. Definitely recommend them for delicious food and friendly and efficient service.

Firehouse consistently shows they do not care about online orders likely because those making the food don’t have to put effort into food people can’t see them make. If you put in an online order it is consistently wrong or items are just missing because they fail to mark items unavailable if they are out of a certain product. I tried ordering a French dip a week ago and just didn’t get the entire sandwich and only got the other sandwich in the order. I tried ordering another one tonight and did not receive the au jus. I had a friend order their seasonal turkey sub a couple months ago for pickup and we ate there. His sandwich had nothing but turkey and a small smear of cranberry sauce on the bread. When he brought the sandwich to the cashier he looked like a deer in headlights. This location does not care about making food for customers not in the store and assume they can give minimum effort if someone is not in front of them ordering a sandwich.

This review is not for food but for their owner who does not support veterans. You are able to have this shop thanks to the veterans who earned the freedom for you to do so. And you don’t even give 15, 10 or even 5% discount on this day??? I went there with my husband and two kids thinking we could get some kind of a deal. Nope. And watch at least three people walking out for the same reason. I’m sorry I can’t give you more than a star JUST for that. Shame on you.

Ordered a large French dip, keyword on the dip. Upon handing me the order sans dip I asked where the dip was. Was told they ran out earlier. I responded I wouldn’t have ordered it if I knew they were out. Asked why he didn’t say that when I ordered and he didn’t respond, just turned and went about cleaning. No offer to make another sandwich or refund. Sad thing is I even tipped. Awful service.

Did an online order the subs were not right with what we ordered. There was no pickle on the side, which was included in the online order. It’s always hit or miss with the the quality of the subs at the firehouse sub in the Lexington Park Maryland location

I love to take Firehouse Subs, and most times, it is great, but today it was mid at best. First, only two people were working on a Friday night and everyone’s orders took a long time. Secondly, one of the people working seemed like they didn’t want to be there and their level of customer service was horrid. My wife’s large sub only had two pieces of onion on it and when my wife commented about it, this person was rude about it and was more interested in locking the door than offering the onion that should have been on the sandwich. Lastly, the bathrooms were unkempt and the drink machine had several things out.
We normally enjoy the experience but tonight made me question if the owners know or care about how customers are treated. I’m hoping that ownership cares and will make changes. It wasn’t enjoyable for a place we used to enjoy. I hope it gets better. My recommendation would be to not wait too late in the day to get food here.
