Stopped by to grab some lunch, we got the Carl’s Ruben, Salami Mami special, broccoli salads and a couple drinks. It was my 1st time and the store is small but the menu is huge! No inside dining but they have a few tables set up out front.

We loved both of our sandwiches & cant wait to try the others! Service was quick and friendly- even w/ a line out the door. Plenty of free street parking!

I have been a LOYAL Carl’s Stan for over 10 years and I fear they are selling / have sold out. The first photo is my sandwich from two days ago – the second photo is my sandwich from this summer. As you can see, Carl’s has DRAMATICALLY decreased the amount of turkey on the sandwich, but charges the same price (it used to only be like $7.50 but “inflation” so now they charge $10 and give you a third of the meat). They also stopped selling Muenster cheese, bummer, so I ordered provolone and they didn’t even give me one slice. I fear that their popularity has led to the classic restaurant downfall, poorer quality for more money. They also no longer have Donna’s Cookies for sale. It makes me super sad. I hope they can turn it around in the name of Carl.

Best sandwiches in the area! They are so fresh and delicious. It’s hard to find a good sandwich nowadays but look no further! I got the boss jr and went back the following day for it again.

This place is really good in my opinion (I’m not a big fan of bread or sandwiches, but I do enjoy deli meats from time to time).
Quality of the food is good and the flavor is amazing!
First time being there- not sure what to order, so I ordered #15 which is the chicken salad & Swiss and it was really good. I ended up ordering the same thing every time I go there now!
It is now one of my favorite deli place.
They have a few outdoor tables you can sit when it is nice outside. No indoor sitting, street parking. They also sell ice cream, cookies, chips and drinks.

Small neighborhood deli with really good sandwich options and good sides as well. Service was quick and courteous. Although we had a few items to customize, the sandwiches came out perfectly. All ingredients were fresh and great quality as well.

Really great service. Nice team behind the counter that will get you food quickly. The menu has a lot of great sandwich options. Worth stopping when you’re in the neighborhood.

This is a pick up only deli. Very nostalgic feel. I enjoyed it. I ordered the belt: bacon lettuce, tomato and egg salad. It was good, but needed a tad more mayo on the bread and a little more seasoning on the egg salad. I would order it again.

We ordered A Reuben and lasagna and deviled eggs. Order was wrong and we got an egg sandwich with chewy bread and the deviled eggs were the worst thing I have ever tasted (literally tainted…not even the right color). Only saving grace was my daughter liked her lasagna. Expensive lunch for terrible food.

First time, won’t be our last. The gentleman who rang up our order names the following numbers as the top 4 most popular in his opinion:
The Reuben’s (#3 & #8), The Country Club (#23), and The Hot Heidi (#20). He also named The Crab and Artichoke (#6) one of his favorites. That’s what I ordered because I love crab, I love artichoke, and I love croissants – but sadly I didn’t ‘love’ this sandwich…it’s probably just me but the texture sort of put me off to it which was a bummer. I got a few bites in and had to stop. I don’t fault them though, I would just give a heads up to you that it is imitation crab and a pretty slimy sandwich. My husband got the #18 and it was delicious!! We also got a side of their ranch pasta salad, it was okay but I wouldn’t get it again. They have great pickles! Crunchy and delicious! Overall, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try. We’ll be back to try some more of their sandwiches! A true deli with a massive array of options, I’d be surprised if they didn’t have something everyone loved. Great staff. The menu was a bit overwhelming at first but when I told them it was our first time they were more than helpful and made some great suggestions. They have a fridge with a decent selection of beverages, alcoholic included. They also have ice cream!

We were looking for a really good deli sandwich after a drive in for the weekend. Carl’s was the first place we stopped and it was wonderful! The quality of the food was excellent and very much worth the price. The guy helping us was so nice, explaining the standard menu and then the specials. It was hard to decide. It’s also a beautiful neighborhood so having the small table outside to eat was a treat. I highly recommend Carl’s, especially as a first stop in the city – it’s a great introduction.
