We were visiting family in Hampton, and they took us to Ricco’s. It. was. Amazing! Warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the food was excellent – their meatballs were so good, and their gluten-free pizza was particularly good. I had the Philly cheesesteak, and it was fantastic. Jay made us feel so welcome. Thank you for a great dinner!

Went to Ricco’s because Fertittas next door was closed at the time. There wasn’t a lot of people dining in, but there were quite a few delivery orders and call ins, they only had 1 person running the counter. She was taking calls, handling door dash drivers, and waiting tables by herself. She did her best, luckily someone showed up to help as I was leaving. That was a management problem, nothing against her efforts. That being said, food was great and reasonably priced, would consider going again.

We ate lunch as a party of 8 VERY patient people. We knew they were down a server and therefore knew we were in for a little extra wait time but not a whole two hours of it. We sat waiting for a xL pizza, grilled cheese sandwich and a lamb gyro. The kitchen was apparently slammed and poorly managed. The grilled cheese came out as two pieces of lightly browned bread and two slices of unmelted American cheese. How do you screw up something as basic as grilled cheese, TWICE? The remake was only half cooked. My lamb gyro was burnt, and tasted more like pork sausage than lamb. The fries, the easiest thing of all to not mess up, were cardboard; obviously a low quality frozen product. Thank goodness the pizza for the rest of our party was good, as everyone else ate it up. The server apologized profusely for all the problems, and we understood, none of it was her fault of course. But until they get their staffing and kitchen issues under control, I would steer well clear of this place.

First I just want to say I don’t normally make a complaint on social media unless it really needs to be out there. I apologize for the former owners since they sold the name of the business to the new ownership.
Ricco’s Pizza in Langley Square Shopping Center Hampton Va really has gone down hill. Today we decided we wanted subs for dinner. When I got them home it was all I could do. My husband looked at my sub and said “Where’s the beef?” You can see in the pictures. Here is what we ordered and what was wrong.
Pastrami & cheese large with everything and Jalapeños added
Philly steak & cheese no tomato and lightly toasted.
1 ) No visible Jalapeños on his sub paid $1.00 extra
2) Tomatoes on the Philly steak & cheese no onions on sub
3) My sub was hard as a rock on the ends and visibly dark toast
4) Both subs “where’s the meat”???
5) Also, the prices have gone up. Understandable but prices up, quality and quantity WAY down.
I called them and they are willing to remake the subs. My hubby was already eating but since I was on the phone, I had not started. Already shaking due to needing to eat. I said to remake mine but it is a bit of a distance to return in this heat. I return with pictures of both subs and my sub as requested. Owner was stating that it was lightly toasted. You be the judge on that one, but mind you I put the paper plate in a zip lock to transport back to them since the paper wrapping was thrown away.
I get another sub at no charge replacing the one I returned. NOTHING else for my trouble, gas, and the heat.
First 2 pictures are the original subs. Third picture is the sub remade. Again where’s the meat?
Ricco’s I will not return and I will NOT refer anyone to your business again.

Ordered using their new online ordering. Only gives option for pick up. Was supposed to be ready in 35 minutes. Arrived for pick up before then and it was ready. People behind the counter just looked at me for a minute then walked up to me without saying anything. I got my food. Checked it to see if it was what I ordered and it was all right. We went straight home to eat. Got a large cheese pizza, large Stromboli and small garden salad. The Stromboli is not cooked all the way. The dough on the bottom is raw. The salad looks disgusting. Tomato’s are old, onions translucent and lettuce wilted. Also the salad came with no dressing. It seems there’s always something wrong when I order from here except the pizza.

I ordered a 4 pizzas for me and my coworkers. I ordered carry out because I assumed it would be quicker. After about an hour of my tracker not updating I decided to just go up there. When I got there it was only 1 guy working in the back. The 2 others appeared to be not doing anything. When one individual came to the register to assist me, they were also on checking their phone and smiling at whatever the messages they were reading. After finding the order I had placed using the dominoes app, they asked if it will be ok to wait an additional 30 mins to prepare my order. I explained that I had placed the order a little over an hour ago. They apologized and said they had just arrived to work. Meanwhile one guy is in the back getting a delivery order together and the other worker back there looked as if he really didn’t have anything to do. I was very disappointed because it seems that I always have an issue with this location.

I ordered a large combo stromboli,it cost me 25 dollars. Wasnt even a foot long and very greasy. Called to complain and all they could say is we’re sorry. Il never order from them again. They have gone downhill since Ricco sold it.

My friends and I had an awesome experience at Ricco’s Pizza Place! The service was absolutely wonderful — the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. We especially loved the wings — seriously some of the best we’ve had! You can tell they care about both their food and their customers. Definitely one of our new go-to spots. Highly recommend!
