Been here several times. Great food, the cheese and charcuterie board is pretty incredible and the food has always been good. My fiancee likes Hearth’s steak a lot – some other restaurants at the same price point that we’ve been to have served us undercooked steaks, have had too much char on their grill grate, or have had other issues occur.
I removed one star from Service because I’ve seen waitstaff be less than polite to guests a couple times but in general, the place is great and I’ve always enjoyed it there.

Very good food, everything was excellent. My wife and I were looking for a cozy place to go out to eat, like on a date night. We loved it. They’re very polite. And we found out they’re open at lunch too, we’ll have to try that.

I was so excited to try Hearth. I have heard so many wonderful comments. Well, honestly I was so disappointed.
First let me mention the good things. The service was Amazing. Our server was honestly the best in Peoria so far. The ambience was nice and comfortable.
Now the important part the food. I honestly feel like our food was deliberately made poorly because, based on what I have heard Hearth is supposed to be the best restaurant in Peoria, also, there is a Chef and there is no real chef that would allow the food we received to leave the kitchen.
The best part of the meal was the raw oysters, which is hard to mess up since they are raw on the half shell.
The steaks my mom and I ordered was not made properly, they were so badly done I was barely able to cut it. It was so hard I could not chew mine. My mom got the ribeye and her was harder than mine. It was so hard she has to spit hers out because she could not chew it.
I had a side of Mash, well, there was so much salt which made it uneatable. This is why I think this had to be deliberately done because no one else made any problems or complaints. Chefs taste before plating and the fact that our food was served to us the way it was speaks loud and clear. We are not important enough to deserve good food. This honestly was a slap in the face. $220 meal that we would not eat. Honestly sad. It is ok the service was Amazing!! I generally go to Chicago and the suburbs for good fine dining places. I was hoping this would be our new spot. Oh well!!

Finally, a place where you can get a variety of higher-end food, great service, and feel like it’s a place worthy of dressing up for. I haven’t been to a restaurant like this since I left Chicago. A great place to take a special someone or to have a nice anniversary dinner. It happened to be my birthday, and my daughters picked it out. I will return!

The service and ambiance were exactly what we were hoping for. Very friendly and attentive server. I had the duck and they recommended medium to medium rare. I prefer it cooked through so I sent it back to be cooked a little longer and then it was great. My husband had the lamb and a caesar salad and said both were great. Not pictured: crab cakes and creme brulèe… both were really good! I’d go back for appetizers, wine, and dessert!
Edited to add: they offered bread to other tables but when we realized it we were waiting for dessert.. I love bread but can’t speak to what it’s like here since our waiter never mentioned it.

1st impression as walking in the door was wow, this place is really nice. The decor is very inviting. If your looking to enjoy a drink the bar is just amazingly beautiful. We were seated in one of the dining rooms. Being a photographer myself I really enjoyed the varieties of photos displayed here. As a note we arrived just before they were getting ready to close to prepare for the nights dinner. We were assured we had plenty of time to enjoy lunch. So we placed our order. We learned everything is made from scratch daily using quality ingredients. Now I’m really impressed , a restaurant that cares. While waiting on the food I walked around looking at photos, an employee/manager or even owner, I’m not sure explained some of the photos and how the photographer achieved the look in each picture. Thanks for the tour and info, I enjoyed it. Lunch arrives and it looks amazing. Everything was delicious and all 3 of us enjoyed ourselves and the excellent food. It was so good. You’ve gained new customers, we agreed its worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to return. Dinner menu has so many options which appeals to us. See you soon. Best place in Peoria!!!

It was my first time visiting here and it was such a splendid experience! I went for lunch and the food was delicious. I got the salmon salad which came with candied pecans, carrots, and cranberries and a smoky blue cheese dressing! For $16 the plate was huge of salad and a decent sized salmon piece. The waitstaff were immediately kind. I would love to go back and try the quiche. I will be back again. Thanks for making us feel welcome for lunch!

My wife and I were in Peoria for an appointment and decided to visit charming Peoria Heights. I just had one of the best sandwiches (and the best fries!) I’ve had in many years at the Hearth Restaurant. My wife enjoyed equally delicious salmon croquettes and greens.
The inside is elegantly cozy, but as it was a beautiful day, we sat outside on their umbrella-lined street patio. Tim, our server, was friendly and attentive, the owner/manager was welcoming, and the food was reasonably priced and outstanding.
Highly recommend!

Excellent as always. Great food, cocktails and service. Make sure to make a reservation as they get very busy. The duck and lamb chop dinners are very good. All their desserts are homemade and very good. Huge selection of whisky. Also great for lunch.
