I have been a loyal Aladdin’s customer since the original Lakewood location opened in 1994. Back then, as a vegetarian, it was my sanctuary. Even after moving away, it was the one meal I insisted on having every time I flew back to Ohio. They are the standard by which I judge all hummus.
Unfortunately, my experience at the Oberlin location was devastating. My Shawarma plate was filled with burnt, bitter pieces of meat, and Jasmine’s Favorite tasted and smelled scorched. Even the pita—usually a highlight—had hard, crunchy edges.
This is not the quality I’ve known for three decades. It’s deeply disappointing to see an icon fall so far from its roots.
I expect better and believe that one star for food, service, and atmosphere accurately grades this whole experience for me. They even made sure to dump all the burnt pieces into my hummus. Thanks.

A nice, quiet late lunch. I appreciate the restaurant being open after 2:00 pm. There were many others, one to two party diners having a late lunch as well. The service was excellent as well as the cranberry, walnut salad w. Feta.

Efficient and quick service. Mediterranean atmosphere is laidback. Waiter was pleasant and patient as we decided. Raw juices a plus. Soups were a bit cold but flavorful. Falafels were tasty. Hummus was too creamy, not thick enough. Next time want to try their wraps. Have a variety of options…Vegetarian, Vegan, Meat and Gluten free dishes. Great selection of desserts. If option was available I would give it a 3.5 stars.

Food’s great and there’s a ton of it. Servers are fast, attentive, and make you feel at home. My wife gets this to go very often and the couple times they forgot part of her order (accidents happen) they were very apologetic and went out of their way to make up for it. Would absolutely recommend Aladdin’s to anyone.

I had the best experience here. This was my first time in Aladdin’s Eatery. Our server was so friendly. Honestly, everyone who works in there is extremely friendly. The food is so fresh and delicious. We had their Pitzas and I have to tell you, I am in love with the honey Dijon mustard sauce. Highly recommend!!!

I’ve picked up food from here or had it delivered several times. I always get a Beef Kafta or one of the other wraps but the Kafta is my favorite. I’ve never had one like that before I tried this place for the first time. I’ve never had any complaints about their food. I put 3 star on atmosphere because n/a isn’t available so that’s neutral.

Service was nice and got us out in a time constraint that we alerted them of. The food itself was pretty bland, particularly Aladdin’s Falafel Rolled Pita, which was mediocre and flavorless. The Shawarma Salad was a little better, but didn’t have much going on. The Honey Dijon Salad Dressing is pretty good.

Deceptive with food pictures and very small portion sizes. For $22, I would expect more than 2 tiny pieces of chicken. Their picture shows 4 pieces of chicken when ordering the meal. I weighed it and it was just under 4 oz of chicken. Very expensive for mostly rice. I have ordered from here many times and portions are getting smaller and smaller each time. Last two times were the final straw.

Always been exceptional service here and this time was phenomenal as well. Really wish I could remember the waiters name so I could give him a shout out. He was attentive but not overbearing and had such a warm energy. The food was so delicious & fresh I didn’t want to stop eating ! I ordered Jasmine’s favorite with the Lebanese salata & drizzled it with the tahini lemon sauce. We also got the hummus platter for the table. I couldn’t even take a moment to snag a picture it was all so good. Would give more than 5 stars after this visit if I could.
