I have been going to Ernesto’s for …..a VERY long time…..32 years to be exact. WELL before they moved to the McCart place….I was introduced to them in high school. I’m 50 years old now. When I’m living outside FW, I have cravings. Shredded chicken burrito with chicharron is my thing ….this is the best Mexican food in the state, possibly in the country. 32 years doesn’t lie. Massive respect to Ernesto’s for quietly being the best in the business for all these years, and never changing. Don’t mess with perfection. And it really is quite perfect.

These are hands down one of the best tacos I’ve eaten in all of Texas. Especially for the price!!! I’ve eaten tacos everywhere but these stand out. They have the BEST chicharrón tacos I’ve ever had. They’re extremely crispy and flavorful. I also ordered an Al pastor taco, a tripas, and an asada taco. These were each SPECTACULAR!! I ordered an asada burrito as well which did not disappoint. Their horchata is solid as well. I highly recommend this place. 4 tacos, a burrito, and a horchata all for like $15 is crazyyyy. Will def be back again and again!
Only downside is their indoor dining closes early so you cannot eat dinner there.

Was passing by and decided to come in and try this little place, I’m so glad I did it was delicious and the service was 10/10 the only downside is that they close at 3pm but other that the food was delicious. I had the sopes de asada

Had lunch with a friend at Ernesto’s. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but like they say you can’t judge a book by its cover. The service is extremely friendly and the food is delicious and inexpensive. Had the #1 with 3 asada street tacos and refried beans and rice. Its a great out of the way place to eat.

The quality and consistency here is insane. We are met with the friendliest service every time. I highly recommend the carne asada sopas (one of my favorites on the menu). I knew I’d be back when I went to the register to pay and saw the hard working ladies in the back of the kitchen meticulously cleaning it during their down time. Look no further and support this small business!
