Stopped into North Main Cafe today and got an iced mocha latte, it was really good! Service was super fast, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. They’ve got a great menu with tons of options for coffee, tea, breakfast, and lunch. The dining room is comfortable and inviting, and when the weather’s nice, their outdoor seating area is perfect. Parking is also a big plus even though they’re downtown Mt. Vernon, they’ve got their own lot which makes it really convenient. Definitely a great local spot worth checking out!

I’m sure it’s great but it was too busy to get service. The wait for food was 35 mins and it was about 45 mins until they closed so we just left. I’m glad he warned us that there was a long wait.

Nice place, stopped in for breakfast with a friend. The only thing that kinda sucked was they forgot my omelette order. I had to flag someone down to ask where my food was since 4 people after me had just got service. Omelette was thin walked like a crepe and veggies inside were tasty. Hash browns and sourdough bread was fine. Coffee was pretty good

This place undoubtedly has the best parfaits ever. I’d go here for yogurt over the gambier coffee shop any day. People are always nice. Honestly my favorite breakfast place in town. I couldn’t ask for anything to be better at this place. One girl in there just seems so happy when you talk to her I wonder what her name is but she is so happy in there. The food is great and the people are too.

The food is good. I loved the soup and salad combo. My husband enjoyed some ice coffee.
Honestly, I thought the atmosphere inside would look different. It has curb appeal with the terrace and lively crowd but inside it looks like a hotel breakfast place in the middle of nowhere. Very dated, dark interior, uncomfy chairs.

This is a cute place with good food. Loosen up your purse strings before walking in, it’s not cheap.
The servers are new and need to get some experience so not to constantly reach in front of customers, that comes in time.

Made the trip to a nearby garden on a Saturday. Needed lunch so we drove into Mt. Vernon. Stumbled across the North Main Cafe and were glad we did. Breakfast only on Saturday and they stay open until 12:30 so we were just in time.
Ordered at the counter, got our number and headed outside to the patio. Nice area with big umbrellas. Food came pretty quickly and we dove in.
I got the Gold Rush Bowl and my wife got the Omlette. Both were tasty and hot when delivered.
We really liked the downtown location and the ability to sit on a patio.

The staff was very nice. The lattes we ordered were very good. The breakfast food was definitely homemade. I ordered the bacon/egg/cheese biscuit with grits. Husband ordered an omelette with hash browns. We were visiting from Pittsburgh and really liked the vibe. Would go again!

Great lunch spot! I just took my 7 year old and she loved the CBR Wrap and Bubble Tea. I had the Hamlini which reminds me of childhood ham and cheese. So good! Great service as well. We’re lucky to have this in Mount Vernon!
