Taste of India is the best International restaurant we have experienced in Grants Pass. We regularly eat here and every experience is wonderful. From the service, which every employee treats us like friends, they are truly friendly, accommodating, they make sure everyone understands the food expectations and they cater to everyone’s comfort level with spicy foods which is great.
The food is made to order and is all authentic, with high quality ingredients served immediately. Their breads are made to order and are fresh and hot. Their rice is PERFECT and you can tell they use authentic ingredients and cook with passion for the culture and the food. We come here often and decided today we have never had a dish or an experience here that we didn’t love. Best food! Best service, the family that owns them are great. We will continue to eat here.
They recently also updated their restaurant with new floors, new booths, new copper water cups and pitcher, at, new menus and painted and updated the inside to match their quality of food and service!
No complaints, wouldn’t change a thing. Oh their prices are more than fair, and the portion sizes are massive for the price. We always have leftovers! We love Taste of India

I love Indian food. Have eaten it all over the state. What I have had has been a 6.4 out of 10. I do thinks some things are just done better than others. I have to say their somosas are really done well. The filling has been super creamy with a really nice exterior. I personally think the pratha should be a little thicker. Might just be a personal thing, as I have said the same of other places. As I have more dishes, I can and will update this. So you know I have eaten here 4 times and will back at least two more time in the next few weeks. Traveling for work has some perks if you like to try different foods. Let me add this one last point, the lady who has waited on me each, and every time has been super welcoming and very helpful, she is truly an asset for them.

I keep leaving reviews for when I feel a business has absolutely earned it. And in this case, Taste of India did. The food, the atmosphere, the customer service was all incredible. You can taste the love and care they put into their food. It was fresh, flavorful, and the portion size for the price was spot on. I’d highly recommend! For sure just discovered a new favorite place which I will be returning to when in need of a delicious and comforting meal.

Spectacular food, amazing vibe, felt like visiting the uncles for a travel pit stop. I almost cried. The manager Rocky has an amazingly beautiful aura to him. I felt so in awe of being in their company. If I was of the money lush realm right now I’d literally invest in his place but all I can offer are these good words of recommendation and prayers to my guardians to bless this place for now. I got the vegan options and they were just as lovely and flavorful as the non vegan ones my friends got!

An act of pure kindness — and the best Indian food we’ve had in a long time.
We came into Taste of India as two dusty travelers—hippies, really—just looking for some warmth and good food. We weren’t sure what to expect, but what we got was something rare: genuine generosity.
Rocky, the manager, saw us not as a burden, but as human beings. Without hesitation, he offered us free food, not out of obligation, but out of the goodness of his heart. In a world that too often looks the other way, he showed up with compassion and open arms. That kind of soul deserves serious recognition.
But let’s talk about the food—because wow. Even if we had paid triple the price, it would have been worth every penny. The spices were on point, the flavors were deep and soulful, and every bite felt like it was made with care. You can taste the love and tradition in every dish.
Whether you’re a local or a fellow traveler passing through, this spot is a gem. Go support them—not just because the food is incredible, but because places like this, with people like Rocky, are what keep the heart of humanity alive.
Much love from the road — we’ll be sending everyone we meet your way.

The mural is a must see. Stunning. The food will transport you, so delicious, authentic and beautiful. I met a friend there for lunch. The decor is basic and clean. The bathroom was also clean, and stocked. I ordered 14, spinach and potatoes, medium spice. So fresh and yummy. I ate half and took half home. The naan bread is so good, I couldn’t not have that again, also it helps cool the heat in your mouth. My friend ordered cauliflower and potatoes but at a heat temp I was not willing to try. It looked delicious. It’s not a cheap lunch but the ingredients and portions were worth it! Service is personal, friendly and knowledgeable. I’m so glad to have been here.

Good Indian food served well. Kadi pakoda was very good! Rotis were great too. Gobhi paratha was thin and has no sides like achar or raita or anything. It’s just the paratha. They did give achar when asked though. Entree curries come with good portions of rice. But curry portion was less. Plain Lassi and mango lassi are yummy too.

The food was so good it’s now my favorite spot in grants pass.
I plan to eat here many times to come.
The portions are enough to take home for the next day’s meal as well.
The staff are nice and inviting.
The only thing I recommend is keeping both bathrooms well kept.

The food was okay, but the service was very poor. We found a piece of paper in our veg biryani and informed the service staff. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she removed the paper directly with her bare hands from our plate. When we expressed that we were uncomfortable with someone putting their hands in our food, she showed no concern and didn’t even offer an apology.
