Well my friend and I finally went and we were not disappointed.
We started with beers, I had a dark beer that was a lot lighter than it’s dark color would imply. I don’t remember its name but it was the only dark one tonight… It was quite good with a hint of sweet.
I wanted the full German experience so I ordered potato pancakes and goulash to start, then had sauerbraten with spatzle and red cabbage. It was so deliciously rich with good balance between the sweet and sour.
My friend ordered a pilsner and the Prime Rib with horseradish and a loaded baked potato on the side. He demolished it because it was so good.
The dining room. Is separated into several smaller areas which give each table a great deal of privacy with a very cozy feel.
The bar is a larger separate room near the entrance and looks really cool.
The staff took very good care of us and all the others there too. They were very attentive, professional, and knowledgeable.
All in all, it was a great experience. Stop in and enjoy some good food, beers, and cocktails with them.
Service was the best I’ve had in recent memory! Very attentive and quick.
Food 4/5. Pretzel was delicious. I’m Hungarian and make paprikash sauce at home, so it was hard to compare but they did a decent job. Soup and dessert were a bit lackluster, but overall I can’t complain.
Would 10/10 go back.
KnockwWurst on the lunch menu, it came with home fried potatoes, a big portion, the potatoes were delicious, both sausages were cooked perfectly, Holly our server was awesome, ask for her! She is friendly, professional with a beautiful smile! She will make your experiance most pleasent!
Cool bar – good German beers on tap
Mixed sausages appetizers was great – especially with a hot, fresh pretzel on the side.
Sauerbraten was delicious. The rotekraut was a wonderful tart against the hearty meats.
One of the best prime ribs I have ever had.
Simply a really cool place!
Enjoy!
A total gem of a German restaurant and bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was fun, friendly, and authentically German. The bartender — a sweet blonde from Ohio (I wish I could remember her name!) — was absolutely amazing. Great service, super personable, and she really knew her beer!
Speaking of beer, everything on tap was imported and so tasty — each one we tried had that rich, crisp flavor you only get from true German brews.
I had the prime rib, and wow… drool-worthy delicious. Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. My husband went for a more traditional German dish, and he practically inhaled it — I’m not sure he even chewed!
We were both so impressed with the food, drinks, and overall experience that we’re already planning to come back next weekend with friends. I can’t wait to try the schnitzel!
If you’re looking for great food, genuine German flavor, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere, this place is it. Prost!
