I gotta say, this is by far the best Loco Moco I’ve ever had here in Portland! I asked for sautéed onions too & it was just BOMB! Everything about it was just perfect! Customer service was exceptional! It was worth the stop! Highly recommend!

I ordered online, and they only gave me one entree. Didn’t realize till I got home, a half hour away. Their phone system is completely unhelpful for any issues with your order. Check your bag before you leave! Also, all their different grilled chicken options taste identical. Kalbi and Teriyaki should be distinctly different flavors. And put some flavor on your steamed veggies! Sheesh. Angry rant over.

Great service. The workers were very friendly and thanked everyone for coming in. The plate serving sizes were very large. Regrettably though, the food was not satisfying. One of us thought the macaroni salad was good and had a sweet flavor while another one of us thought it wasn’t very good. The kalua pork was tender and juicy but the flavor wasn’t great. The Char Siu had very little flavor. The Kalbi chicken was flavorless. The teriyaki chicken was just okay.
There were lots of happy customers there who seemed to be repeat customers. Maybe they just aren’t used to really good Hawaiian food. I won’t be going back.

Over the last couple visits I don’t know what has changed but it is not good. The ribs are coming burnt to the point they taste bad. Today I asked if they could make them not burnt the way we used to get them all the time . They said yes and they came burnt nasty!! And my hamburger steak was also burnt and that’s never come burnt before. Unless they can go back to making it the way they did like 8 months ago we will not be returning!!!

I don’t get out much. But on my way to work I decided to grab food here. This place is amazing and the vibes are blessed with positivity. Got the Kalbi and Garlic Chicken with a Hawaiian sun drink. The best Hawaiian food. Treat yourself and come here to eat. 10/10.
