Thank you Lucy for making our senior night a perfect after game party. You made sure the restaurant was ready for our big group late on a Friday night. Arturo took care of or girls fabulously. It was a perfect way to end the season. Champion girls, coaches and parents thank you for the support and kindness.

Been to this location a couple times now and are not impressed with the food. Party of 5 on a Thursday night. About 2/3 full of customers. Though service was relatively quick and attentive once our server came, it took 10minutes before our server even showed up. Overall, the rice is relatively bland compared to other establishments. Beans were rated as good, but not special by all who had them. Most of the other dishes were rated as average. The major disappointment was the 100 Club Plate. With the exception of the cheese enchilda, the flauta and beef taco were basically tasteless. Noise level was not obnoxious, but talking was a bit difficult due to other customers.

I know this town as plenty of choices for Mexican food but this is the best bang for your buck. When dining in I always request Kat, she’s super friendly and efficient. Anytime I get food to-go it’s hot and fresh. The manager(didn’t get her name) who has taken my to-go order was super helpful and corrected an issue without hesitation. They offer family packs that are budget friendly and more than enough to feed our family of 5 with leftovers.

Great waitress, good food and excellent price for such large portions. Beat Sopapillas I’ve ever had.

I went thru the drive thru for one of their yummy frozen mango margaritas. I ordered what was on the picture on their outside menus. Was expecting the cute little jug as advertised for $16.99. I was given a large to go cup and told that was considered as the _16.99 vessel. I feel ripped off. Then you had a young man with long nails at the window trying to explain things. I will stick with Leon Springs if I ever have a desire for a frozen margarita. And, I veas not given a straw. Go figure

I am updating my review so there are two reviews in this post. I highly suggest you read this if you wanna eat at this establishment. I am done with Las Palapas Boerne. Today’s experience was beyond unacceptable. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup, and the container was so overfilled that when I opened it, the broth spilled all over my hands and burned the crap out of my hand. The avocado in the soup was soggy and disgusting, and the chicken was one giant hunk that I had to shred myself. They didn’t even include tortilla chips, so I had to fry my own corn tortilla just to have something to eat. The soup was bland, flavorless, and a total waste of money. After trying to “fix” it with my burnt hand, I ended up throwing it in the trash.

Then I looked at my bean and cheese tacos — less than half a slice of bacon crumbled on top. Paid extra for bacon, got barely anything. This is beyond comprehension. Every single time we eat here, they mess up our order. Last time, we got a tin of Barbacoa that was supposed to come with tortillas — instead, it was half the amount of meat it should have been (barely enough for two tacos) and no tortillas at all.

We spent over $45 today and walked away hungry, frustrated, and with a hand that still hurts from being burnt. I ordered for convenience and ended up wasting 20 minutes trying to fix their mistakes, only to throw the food away. This is incompetence at its finest. I am never eating here again. Avoid this place — it’s a disaster, and they clearly do not care about their customers.

Review number two

I’m writing to express my profound disappointment with the consistently subpar service and food quality at Las Palapas. Over several takeout orders, we’ve experienced recurring issues, but today’s experience was particularly egregious.

My boyfriend went to pick up our order today, which totaled $52.84. Upon receiving the food, the staff had already forgotten to include his tea, which he had to remind them to provide. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of the problems.

When we unpacked our meal at home, we found the Barbacoa, which was supposed to be a full pound for $19.99, was severely under-portioned. It was barely half the amount expected and was filled with excessive fat and gristle, making it nearly inedible. To add to the disappointment, the food was cold.

We also ordered a quart of hot sauce, only to discover a whole tomato floating in it, which is not only unappetizing but also completely unacceptable. As if that weren’t enough, the tortillas that were supposed to accompany the Barbacoa were missing entirely, forcing me to eat my meal with chips instead.

This is not an isolated incident, but a pattern of repeated negligence and poor quality. It’s incredibly frustrating to continually spend our hard-earned money only to receive cold, incomplete, and unsatisfactory meals. Today’s experience was a complete waste of money and has left us feeling utterly burnt out.

Given the repeated failures in service and food quality, I am requesting a full refund for this order. I hope that this feedback prompts immediate corrective action, as customers deserve much better than what we’ve repeatedly received from Las Palapas.

Disappointing brisket tacos! I had the brisket and egg breakfast tacos and they literally only had maybe a teaspoon of little tiny pieces of brisket. Extremely disappointed. Go to Bill Miller’s for real brisket and egg breakfast tacos. They actually put slices of brisket in theirs. Everything else is usually pretty good at this location. But I think the fajita meat is better at the Leon Springs Las Palapas.

We paid for chicken qusadillas and only got cheese! The bacon in our bacon and egg tacos were chewy as well and we waited a very long time for our food!

The food here is outstanding! The little details; chips, salsa, and tortillas were all tasty. We ordered chicken enchiladas verde with roasted vegetables and ribeye with enchiladas. Service was excellent. I would definitely eat here again!

Went with my parents for lunch, have a gluten intolerance and the waitress was knowledgeable (although I don’t know if it would be safe enough for wheat allergy or celiac). Waited to make the review to see if I would have any stomach upset and I have at all, which is great because I’d like to go again
