My job is to rate local companies in the Eastern Iowa facilities. I thought this place was exceptional! The food was great and staff was great! The only thing I can recommend was hire a heavy duty cleaning crew! I am a big bathroom grader in my job and it wasn’t bad but It can do some work!

Whether you enjoy them catered during an event, or by the rack served up in Gil’s pub, D.J.’s ribs are the best around. My last visit was an event attended by 400. The food was perfectly seasoned and plentiful, the ribs fall off the bone tender & succulent, and the service fantastic. I’ve never walked away from Gil’s Ballroom hungry, or less than impressed. Thank you David James and staff for your commitment to quality in all you do.

This isn’t a bad place the drinks are good and the food is ok, but nothing to write home about. The decor is ok and if you like 80’s music this might be the place for you.
