We met one of our best, long term customers for a 1pm lunch here on a Thursday, and wound up leaving at 6pm. The atmosphere was so comfortable, the service was excellent and they (obviously) didn’t rush us to leave. The appetizers were great, especially the Thai chilli cauliflower bites. For drinks, the caipirinha was not good, but the sangria and winter margarita more than made up for it. The chocolate martinis and boozy hot coco as after dinner drinks were probably the best I’ve had. The NY strip steaks were cooked to perfection and presented on wooden trays with sides separately. We had tiramisu and some kind of chocolate mousse cake for dessert and both were excellent. For four of us with about 8 drinks, 2 appetizers, 4 steaks and 2 desserts, the bill came to about $500, which is not bad considering the great food, great service and beautiful atmosphere. The view of the bridge is wonderful and I would love to come back in the spring to sit out on the deck with the better view.

Quick note – to get down to the restaurant you have to drive through a sketchy warehouse area that leads to a one way tunnel and looks completely like you’re in the wrong place. It’s the right place, and after you follow the one way road past the docks, the road opens up to the restaurant parking lot. Im sure it looks way different in the spring than on an icy winter day.

Quiet and very private feeling restaurant over looking the Hudson. Food was phenomenal, and drinks were well crafted and refreshing. The steamed clams came with sausage and jalapeños, the prosciutto wrapped fresh melon cut the heat perfectly. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, large, and delicious. And the steak sandwich and steak fries were over the top. Can’t wait to go back!

Sumptuous cuisine (the finest flank steak this reviewer has ever tried!) and a gorgeous panorama to the mighty and storied Hudson River, overlooking the Newburgh bridge. Friendly, efficient staff and clean bathroom. Tasteful décor. In September 2025, the Orange County Libertarian Party hosted Larry Sharpe at this location.

Had an excellent Valentine’s Day experience at Pamela’s with the family service the food everything was delightful. Our server Pam was was friendly energetic. She made great recommendations and everything that came out of the kitchen and the bar was top-notch. This was our first experience here as a family and let me tell you I look forward to going back all the food from the duck to the burger, all the way down to the dessert was delectable. And then you can’t beat the view and the atmosphere was very kitchy. And unique it made you feel comfortable and relaxed. Along with a great staff would highly recommend this place.

Had a wonderful experience at Pamela’s on the Hudson. The service was fantastic — I believe our server was Brittany, and she was so accommodating, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and you can really see the teamwork here — the back of house was on point, bringing out food promptly and making sure everything was served fresh. Can’t wait to come back!

What a beautiful hidden gem on the Hudson River! Away from the hustle and bustle on the strip . Came here with family and friends to celebrate my mother’s 50th birthday last night. Brittany our server was absolutely amazing and attentive!! For a party of 8 she handled us with smiles and grace and gave us great food recommendations even though everything we ate here tonight was absolutely phenomenal! Live music gave a perfect aura with the view of the water. The food?! Nothing short of amazing. You can tell everything was cooked to order and fresh. I’m sure the chefs were working hard with our table as we ordered so much food however they kept up with it and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal and came out to help serve Brittany with a smile . Thank you jadie and the executive chef whom came out to make sure we enjoyed our food at the end of the night . The duck breast, chicken Diane, and the filet mignons I would definitely recommend and all of their appetizers were amazing!! To top it off my mother ended up getting engaged at the restaurant and a fellow restauranteur video taped it privately for us without anyone knowing! An angel from above. A perfect night at the perfect restaurant. Never knew about this place until a few weeks ago and now all I want to do is rave about the service, food and atmosphere. Next time we will be sitting outside . Thank you Pamela’s for everything!

Food was delicious with a very nice open atmosphere, with large windows overlooking the Hudson and the Newburgh beacon bridge. Service was very good for the birthday party for my three kids. They put together a very nice dessert plate for all of us.

Our good friend hosted a surprise birthday party for his wife at Pamela’s. My wife and I arrived extra early, sat at the bar, and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. The bartender was magnificent and very friendly. After finishing our drinks, we moved to join the rest of the attendees. The servers were attentive; I never had to search for their attention. They were always courteous, coming and going from our table. I ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, and it did not disappoint.

We even had a visit from Pamela herself, who joined us for a selfie!

Pamela’s on the Hudson is a hidden gem, and we’re glad to have discovered it!

Pamela’s is a gem. Located at the Newburgh Yacht Club, it is open to the public. You don’t need to own a yacht (we don’t) but you will be treated as if you owned ten yachts! Varied menu, seafood, steak, salads, brunch delights, gourmet prepared, all at moderate prices. Extra little touches, family owned. The bloody mary is like a buffet in a glass, and the mimosas are generous. We only discovered Pamela’s not long ago and have now been back several times since, always feeling well taken care of. Pamela’s is a little hard to find the first time, but well worth the effort. We love it!
