You could tell this is a favorite by the locals – it got quiet when we walked in the place was PACKED with a line out the door when we left! Perhaps church let out. The food was good, not gourmet, more home cooking which was totally fine of course. We loved the hush puppies, onion rings and calabash shrimp for sure! Had chopped steak and prime rib. We had to add salt to the dishes but not bad. LOVED THE SALAD BAR! Really good variety of comfort food, flavorful, good portions too. Our waitress was AMAZING, really liked her.

Food is delicious and plentiful, service is excellent as is pricing. This was our second time there, and we’ll definitely return for more on future trips to the area. We had already started eating when I took these pictures so some food from each plate was already eaten. What you see in these pictures are broiled scallops, salt & pepper catfish sweet potato fries, flounder, oysters, onion rings and hush puppies. All perfectly cooked. Especially liked the scallops!

Wonderful experience eating at a casual seafood restaurant. The food was tasty. We had the Blooming onion and it was excellent and great to reheat later at home. The oysters and white fish was served at the right temperature and taste. Our waitress could not of been nicer. We will definitely be back!

My parents love this place and have been going forever. We don’t like fried seafood as much, but it’s good southern style cooking.

Myself and my family have came here for years. We have always came in and gotten a table before everyone was there. This time it was a problem. Which would have been fine. Things change. But when I asked if it was a new policy the girl was rude and acting like I was bothering her.

Wasn’t the Dons I remembered from years ago. The baby flounder was super salty. Service was great. Salad bar was good and fresh.

By far the worst restaurant in the county. Clam strips were good. Everything else was completely inedible. Hush puppies were oily, the cocktail sauce was hard (literally hard!), the tarter sauce was just mayonnaise, crab texture was like a paste, flounder was barely cooked and almost cold, and the shrimp tasted bad. I can’t believe this place is allowed to stay in business and even more shocked that people choose to eat here. Really terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!

Food in general was kind of bland. Clam chowder was really runny with no real clam pieces. And the stuffed flounder was full of spines. It was impossible to get them out without swallowing any. We had 3 different dishes and none of them was truly outstanding. Salad bar is great though.

Really hard to explain the whole ordeal. Everything was looking good, walked in, sit down and got to order our drinks. Perfect. Real nice waitress. Then here comes some rolled up cornbread in a basket. It looked like hush puppies but rock hard and cold cornbread!! Just terrible. So we order our combination plate of founder and shrimp combo. Really wanted to ask about the hush puppies but decided not to. Well they set the plate down and it looked really good until we touched the food. Everything was cold, very cold!! So we sent it back. So in it’s return we got fresh flounder but the same cold shrimp, all 12 pieces!! 30 bucks for a half hot, half cold fish plate! They need immediate leadership! Call Eddie Jarvis.
