I found this Mi Casa Su Cafe by accident today and it was incredible. I got the catfish and grits and my friend got the jerk chicken and rice. Both of our meals had amazing flavor and were nice and hot (temperature). The catfish and grits is one of my favorite meals now! We also got the lemonade and cherry slushi which was one of the best slushies I’ve ever had — it was so sweet and flavorful.
The service was wonderful, our waitress was lovely and a manager even came over to make sure we were doing well. Both were such friendly people. The atmosphere and decorations in the restaurant were really cool as well. I will absolutely be coming back, this is now one of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee!

I’m so disappointed in my experience, especially since I’ve heard so many good things about this place. My sister ordered our food and waited over an hour for it. She was already waiting a while, then they gave her the wrong order so she had to wait longer. Our fries were soggy. We had to air fry them at home.The “garlic bread” was literally just a piece of buttered toast. And my Cajun chicken Alfredo pasta was just regular Alfredo. I don’t know if they even put Cajun seasoning in it. They put a couple dices of tomatoes and a few leaves of barely cooked spinach. Lastly the jerk burrito wasn’t the best. Overall, just a poor experience. I’m not sure I’d go back

Wow! I had the chicken and waffles that was WELL worth the wait. We arrived early and that’s the only reason we had our food in a timely manner, about a 35-40 minute wait. The restaurant became extremely busy but all of the staff were kind and courteous, but busy. I’m excited to go back, and I hope the service will improve in time because the food, the outdoor patio and location are absolutely perfect.

04-07-2024. Stopped in again for brunch on a Sunday around 1130. The service was slow and they seemed somewhat overwhelmed. Definitely seemed to prioritize take out orders over the folks attempting to dine in. I waited about an hour for my food to make it to the table. I had the Salmon Croquettes which tasted more like tuna than salmon. I was a tad disappointed in that experience. Overall, my experience has been hit and miss here.

This is a fantastic restaurant! We went on a Friday mid morning for lunch. This place has really changed from its original state. Kudos to the person who came up with the remodeled look. WOW! I was very impressed.
When I first went in, I was a little surprised at the order taking process, but I quickly adapted. Can you say . . . I had no choice? Anyways – I loved seeing all of the chefs cooking up front. Can you say . . . Nothing is more sexier than to see a strong, solid and masculine Black man cooking. YAAAASSSSS!
We had the beef and broccoli bowl which was seasoned to perfection. It was delicious! We also had the hamburger with fries. Everything was amazing. The service was outstanding… from the gentleman who took our order to the gentleman that served us our food. The wait was no problem for us. As far as I’m concerned. . . Everything was timed so perfectly. I’m wishing you all much success!!

Excellent food and environment! They have expanded their space since I last visited. The staff had a great attitude and was truly there to serve. Now let’s get into the food! They have a great selection on their menu to choose from. We decided on the Salmon Bowl with the yellow rice. Also, the Jive Turkey Burger . Both dishes were spot on! I really want to go back today for another bowl! Thank you TWBCC for the gift card.

Nice place. I ordered a Garlic and Herb Shrimp Salad and it took an hour for it to come out. People that ordered after me food came out before mines. No wait staff checked on me and my guests. Chef Eric came out and started a conversation and I asked him where was our salads, my guest ordered the Chicken Parmasean salad an hour for hers too. Both salads were made with the Spring lettuce and 3 jumbo grilled shrimp with the one I had both were over $10. My wine was served in a plastic cup because I was told no glasses were clean.

The BBQ sandwich used to be on a baguette but now pita bread which quickly broke apart. The meat was still delicious.
The grits used to be so creamy and slightly sweet. I would come just for them. They were still quite smooth but just buttery, no flavor. I added a little cane sugar at home and it was perfect

I wish I had taken pictures of the amazing food. I needed something lighter, but filling. And the coquettes were PERFECT. I even saved one for later. We tried the fried okra too. Everything was amazing and the service was spectacular. All the staff were really nice and if you have the chance don’t miss out on their cake!!! ✨
