We have passed by here so many times for 18years and never ate hear until recently since we moved into Huntley and were looking for a dine in Chinese restaurant but we’re not able to find one. Our first experience the service was very friendly. The food was great with big portions and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was nice and quiet but dime for me. I would only recommend to change the bulbs to make the place brighter on the inside as well out in the parking lot. We brought a group of 17 family and friends to celebrate my wife’s BDay and had a great time and all left FULL. Great place for group parties.

I visited Lily Garden for the first time on 8/28/25 for lunch. It’s a beautiful restaurant inside. I was greeted nicely by my server.
I ordered pot stickers first, and then ordered Shrimp Kow. As part of the lunch special I received an egg roll and soup.
I was truly looking forward to the pot stickers. I asked for them to be all steamed. Unfortunately they were terrible in my opinion. I no sooner ordered them and got them less than 5 minutes later. The outside doughy wrap was very thick and not cooked long enough. I was expecting the traditional “goyza sauce”. I was told to use a botted vinegar sauce (already on the table. yuck, see pic). Bad choice, I wouldn’t recommend it.
The egg roll (come with lunch specials) was ok. I will admit to being pleasantly surprised with the homemade hot mustard and s&s sauce. I didn’t really care for the s&s. But that’s just my taste buds. As part of the lunch specials you get soup. I asked for the hot n sour. Again, I was a bit disappointed. A bit watered down in my opinion. It simply didn’t have that hot n sour bite. If you are familiar with hot n sour soup.
The shrimp kow was very good, which came with bbq pork fried rice. The fried rice was again just ok.
I asked for water to drink with lemon. For some reason the lemon in my water seemed to be already squeezed??? So there wasn’t a big lemon flavor.
I will try again. Sans the pot stickers. Hopefully your visit will be fine!

It is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. For the past few weeks I’ve been ordering a take away several times and every time the food was fresh, delicious and full of flavor.
To my surprise I’ve read some other negative reviews, but my experience was only positive.
Very good value for the lunch menu and I really recommend to try the new Pan Fried Chow Fun noodles. It’s wonderful.

Called in a lunch special. Beef with Brocoli and Fried Rice came with an egg roll and man is it good! Portion is HUGE! For under $10? Came to this restaurant as a kid during my childhood in the 90s and early 2000s. Now working back in this area so glad to see still open and serving great Chinese food! Will be getting lunch here all the time!

The food was terrific.
I had a pick up order.
I suggest you know your total before picking up your food.
I was over charged $17 ($12 over charge with 10% tax figured) And I gave a cash tip too. My screw up, valuable lesson learned and they lost a customer for a measly $12.
My total should have been $61 (before tax)
I paid $78.03. Even if tax is 10% the math doesnt math.
It’s a shame I would’ve been a good customer. Instead I’ll go elsewhere.
So sad!!!
Definitely suggest you know how much you should be charged before picking up your food.

This food was great. We got takeout. The total was $78. The girl who picked it up. said wow, what did I buy? Later thay night when I got home, I went to the online menu and added up our meals that we bought = $61 and some change . So, my thoughts, we were overcharged. The girl who paid wanted to make it water under the bridge and since nothing was said upon pick up there was not much we could have done I suppose. My recommendation for this place – ask for a total when you place your order which we did not. Delicious but expensive.

This was a delivery order through Uber. My first time trying this spot. I ordered the beef with broccoli lunch special. The food was hot and had a decent portion for around 12$ However, the food was on the salty side. I also would prefer they didn’t put the condiment packs in the food. No big deal. This isn’t a spot I would refer not cause it’s bad, but it’s not good either.

The food is amazing! Absolutely the BEST Chinese food we have ever had. We ordered multiple entrees and all of them were delicious. We highly recommend you give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Been eating here for over 17 years. This new ownership has completely changed the way the food is made, and consequently tastes. If you are an og fan like my family is, I recommend not tainting your fond memories of their food and move on to eat elsewhere.

Been ordering for nearly twenty years. Must be under new ownership… as of today, XMas 2025, our dinner was terrible. The things I use to love were absolutely tasteless; Lilly fried rice had no flavor and was as plain as eating white rice. Egg rolls were undercooked, soggy & greasy without the past crunch and great flavor. We ordered sesame shrimp as usual but got two containers: deep fried shrimp with very little shrimp and a think base of fried breading and a container of orange syrup with a couple tomatoe and pepper pieces. As for the wanton soup, it reminded me of a salty soup made from an instant base. Lastly, there was chicken kow; flavorless and sitting in a gelatinous, over cornstarched mixture.
Overall, after twenty years of loving the food at LG, tonight was the last $54.00 meal we ever order from them again.
Happy holidays.
