We took a party of 6 to the Galen Hall Chalet Restaurant for my wife’s birthday. It was absolutely fantastic. The waiter was cordial and friendly, and the food was excellent. I pre-ordered a coconut birthday cake, which was probably the best cake I have ever tasted. The chef changes the menu by season to make use of the best available produce, and we were there on the first day of the winter menu. I can’t remember what everyone had, but I strongly recommend the leg of lamb and carrots and parsnips. Our 12 year old had the four cheese and macaroni dinner, and one of the others had a tender, juicy steak. The chef (who is also a pastry chef, which explains the wonderful cake) came out to greet us and explain his choices for the winter menu. The dining room was beautiful and comfortable, and every staff member was polite and helpful. I can’t say enough. It is fine dining, so if your idea of a fancy night out is going to any of the dozens of chain restaurants on every corner, then the Chalet may be overkill, but if you’re looking for somethig special, this is the place!

A short drive from Ephrata for excellent food and service. My wife had steak and I had stuffed shrimp. It was our second time there. Did I mention it is very clean, and has nice views of the golf course.
