The Kitchen in Ocean City, MD is a charming throwback to the 1970s, with its cozy, wood-paneled diner vibe and welcoming atmosphere. They’re open daily from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, making it a perfect spot for breakfast or lunch before hitting the beach.
The menu is full of hearty, homestyle dishes, sweet and savory classics done right. I tried the breakfast tacos and they were absolutely delicious. The portion was satisfying, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.
The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, adding to the relaxed, local feel of the place. Prices are starting to creep up a bit, but still feel somewhat reasonable for the quality and quantity you get, especially in a beach town.
If you’re looking for a solid meal in a nostalgic setting, The Kitchen is definitely worth a visit.

Kind of the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. The waitresses were bickering amongst themselves. Overall, not the best place to eat. Just the first place we ended up. Nothing special or remarkable.

Had breakfast at The Kitchen this morning. No wait time, free parking, and seat yourself. I do not eat pork and no Turkey products are sold here was my only complaint. We all definitely enjoyed our meal.

With so many chains and tourist traps here, I was looking for a family owned breakfast spot and found it here. I had a delicious Crab and Cheese Omelet with Old Bay Seasoning. She had an order of their French Toast. Hot coffee and a friendly staff rounded out a great breakfast experience. Give them a try.

After a bad experience at another restaurant for breakfast where we left without even getting food and taking us past normal breakfast hours, this place was a dream come true.
All day breakfast is just what we were looking for.
The service was amazing. We were seated quickly and the waitress was attentive and personable.
The food was priced fairly and was absolutely delicious! All three of our meals were cooked perfect and very tasty. Our waitress noticed the toast was a bit dark and had more made for us without being asked.
The bus boy came to clear plates while I was still eating which I know rubs some people wrong, but the tables are small and he was polite and friendly. Also, to be honest I appreciate the efficiency and attentiveness.
I really enjoyed this experience and will be happy to come back again. Thank you to all the staff who helped make it an enjoyable experience!

We have been here multiple times. This time though we were definitely shocked by the increase in prices. Food was ok. Nothing special. Kind of bland. Fruit bowl was ok. Some of the fruit was bitter. The best thing was our server. She was friendly and attentive. I just think if I’m spending $80 for breakfast for 4 the food should be much better . So sad because I enjoyed this restaurant before but not going to be returning

Great place! Had breakfast there and it was excellent! The scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, side of fruit (was fresh fruit not frozen!). The fried potatoes are amazing. Homemade chipped beef gravy was great as well. Very generous portions! Big parking lot, friendly staff.

Had a great breakfast. The french toast was amazing. Our server Anne Marie was very attentive. She waremd up our syrup and kept the coffee flowing. The fresh squeezed orange juice was refreshing. i enjoyed my seasoned homefries with onions. My mom said the creamed chipped beef was delicious. This was my first time visitingThe Kitchen but not my last.

I used to love this restaurant but, it seems to be going downhill. Saturday morning I ordered the scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and toast meal. I Received only one sausage link that was so burnt I had trouble piercing it with the fork. The homes fries weren’t crisp they were black. Very disappointing.
