Eurasia Coffee in Springfield, MO has a really cool vibe—plenty of space to work or hang out with groups of different sizes, and a good menu to match. The staff and coffee are top-notch, and they make you feel welcome right away.
That said, the facilities could use a little attention: the urinal in the men’s bathroom was out of order, the power outlets under the bench seating weren’t working, and unfortunately, I saw two mice run through the space while sitting there for about 20 minutes.
My Cortado was average but still enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great spot with a fantastic atmosphere and friendly team, but a few maintenance issues keep it from being perfect.
The last couple weeks I’ve started going back to give them another chance and everything’s been great. But today, I ordered a raspberry mocha, dark chocolate with oat milk. I waited almost 15 minutes, which was frustrating when there was hardly anybody else there, but I can get past that. But, the coffee was by no means hot and barely even warm. There was a line of about three people which I politely waited until there was no line to go up until the worker at the counter to which I told her, I hate to say it but this is not hot. She asked when I ordered it.. Well first of all she just took my order a few minutes ago and I’ve been sitting by the counter the whole time waiting for my coffee, which I told her just a few minutes ago. I handed her my drink so she could feel that the cup was barely even warm, and she said to me “Well you should have said you wanted it extra hot”. I shouldn’t have to say that I want it “extra hot” just to get a hot coffee. I’ve never had to tell them extra hot, I didn’t have to tell them that yesterday when I ordered and my coffee was wonderful, I didn’t have to tell them 3 days ago, 4 days ago and so on. That should be automatic to get a hot coffee when you tell them hot upon ordering, not lukewarm. She didn’t even attempt to fix it or care that my coffee was warm, she just had an attitude and said well you should have ordered an extra hot. She didn’t need to have an attitude, and she wasn’t even going to attempt to fix it. And I said well it’s not hot, and she just stared at me like I was a jerk. So, I just took it back and said never mind and grab my things and walked out.
My main thing is, there would have been no problems whatsoever if she would have even OFFERED to remake the drink. They’ve done it there many times for me when It was barely warm. There was no reason to be hateful when I said my coffee was not hot. I also shouldn’t have to spend almost $8 on a coffee, get an attitude thrown at me about my drink not being hot when I politely say something, and then having to drive home just to warm my coffee up in the microwave.
Very disappointed in this place. Most of the employees are always very friendly, But the one working today was hateful just for telling her my coffee was not hot. I’ve always loved this place but I hate to say that I don’t think I will be returning after today.
We tried the miso Carmel cold brew, strawberry rose matcha, Ceylon spritz, and some classics like an Americano.
All were good, but the cold foams were especially tasty.
