Delicious food and great service. Our server, Prahlad, took great care of us. We ordered the veggie sampler as an appetizer, mango lassis, garlic naan, and chicken makhani and all were so flavorful. We’ll be back!

Had a delicious dinner here with top notch service. Drinks were amazing and staff is so polite and kind. Food is plentiful. Of course you also have the beautiful Port Washington Views. Looking forward to trying the buffet so I can try different dishes.

I only have wonderful things to say about this great restaurant. Location, food, service all 5 stars. It is right on the water, I was able to go across the street to very serene water front area with benches to relax after eating here. Food was great, It was the best chicken vindaloo I have ever had. Most importantly, service was incredible. Our waiter was so friendly, checked on us frequent enough if we needed anything extra. Free large packing lot. I would definitely be coming back here in near future and would recommend anyone who loves indian food.

Overall I had a very nice experience at Diwan, the service was fast, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was welcoming, and it was very easy to talk with my date not too much heavy noise or music. The interior gives a tavern vibe but with big windows with waterview, and serving Desi Food. I think certain dishes could be a hit or miss, some of the food did feel reheated and not the freshest. But for the most part I think they get most of the basics right. The surrounding area by the water is nice as well if you bring a date, so I think the prices reflect that as well. Would definitely come back when the weather gets better.

What a great experience! I popped in for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. The service was impeccable and hard to beat the waterfront location. I had a really nice coconut rum and mango cocktail, the cauliflower Manchurian to start, and the chicken Vindaloo for my main. Great heat on both the starter and the curry. Enough, but not too much. Great atmosphere and waiter Fernandez was so on the ball and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Our waiters (specifically Prahlad) were extremely attentive and very kind! They made sure the spice level was just right for us and gave us ice cream on the house! The butter chicken and lamb roganjosh were fantastic and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend this restaurant!

After seeing this restaurant on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, I knew I had to make the drive out to Diwan and the food definitely didn’t disappoint. Hands down one of the best Indian food I’ve had in a really long time, however, for the price the portions were smaller than average and their mix cocktails wasn’t the best. Despite their beautifully decorated first floor, they seated everyone on the second floor which wasn’t as nice. Also, the woman’s bathroom on the second floor needed some serious cleaning and upgrading. Two stalls didn’t work and the smell was absolutely horrendous. As seen in the photos, the bathroom was just visible dirty and there were questionable stains everywhere.

The owner gave me my wife her friend and my daughter a warm welcome with a window seat. The food was amazing, didn’t wait long at all by the time I got to the tikka masala I was full from the delux grill platter! Can’t wait to finish that at home. Kid friendly and very good service. Clean as well

A big thanks to Daniel and Bobby for helping us celebrate my parents 50th anniversary with a day time surprise party. They went above and beyond with the service and menu setting. The food was incredible and they ensured that everything went off without any issues. We will truly be back in the future for more parties and regular dine in. Thanks again.
