I came out because of the recommendation of the owner. So I chose Friday afternoon after 2 so I could take some images as well.
The staff was very polite, respectful, and helpful in finding what I was looking for. The ambiance in the atmosphere is nice without being too loud while being very clean! Probably one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve been in.
I got the benchmark taco salad which I get everywhere. The taco bowl was perfectly cooked and the presentation was good. My favorite part is still the guacamole, which is the best out of Mexican restaurants.
So five stars all around and they follow the rules of keep it fresh, keep it clean, and keep it simple.

Great food, as well as awesome customer service. In fact this is my first restaurant I went to and they serve free chips & Fruit as soon as you sit down at your table. I love the fruit it was fresh and so delicious. I can’t wait to go again.

Been here many times and there food is excellent. Their atmosphere is great too! But apparently there to go service isnt up to the sane level. I ordered enough to qualify for a coupon on the phone but when I arrived a taco was added to my order that was exactly 10$ (the amount of the coupon). Maybe its on me for not checking before leaving but it was mighty convenient an item I didn’t order for the exact amount if the coupon wasn’t in the bag.

Amazing atmosphere, great food, bar, and watch sports on the TV while you are here! Fill up on chips and really good salsa (Lil spicy for me, but I might need to eat ketchup next time, just kidding). Enjoy… Have a margarita or two!

Got the Carne Con Camarones and the El Comal. Both entrees were very tasty. The Carne Con Camarones steak was smaller than expected, but tender. The bacon wrapped shrimp were very good. The El Comal shrimp, chicken, and steak were a little dry. So if we ordered it again, we would request an extra plate to remove everything from the sizzling plate so they don’t overcook. The prices are a little high, but the quality is very good. Update: Got the El Comal and the Shrimp Burrito. Both were very tasty. From the El Comal we immediately removed the shrimp, chicken, and steak, which prevented them from overcooking and getting dry. The Shrimp Burrito contained 8 nickel sized shrimp, which was very disappointing for a full sized burrito. My wife even remarked that a fast food Sombrero burrito was better and always contained more meat. For the prices charged, the meal was not a good value.

I just got back from the beach off a long run and decided to stop by this place for burrito. little did I know that it’s an actual restaurant and not a fast food, you’ll see from my pictures that I took at a local park soon thereafter, that this is no ordinary burrito.
I would say it’s below average size for a burrito from San Diego, but just a little bit below-average you do not need to eat more than that you naughty naughty boy.
I took out my huge knife cut the burrito in half to show you that there’s a certain kind of sweet bean inside……. beans with a sweet sauce,
please do not think that I said that they put beans in the burrito, I do not like burritos from San Pedro and Long Beach because everywhere up there they put beans and rice in your burrito. this burrito is much different than that because there’s only a few beans and you can taste each of their textures and there’s a sweet sauce with them,
it doesn’t stop there the carne asada was marinated to perfection and did not taste like fast food, furthermore it had plenty of guacamole that was just perfect.
if I bring a friend to San Diego I would not brag about this burrito I would eat this burrito in private with a grin on my face knowing that I’m getting a good deal, but if I wanted to really impress them I would bring them to one of the fast food places like Los panchos Alberto’s and the like.
unless I was going to sit down and eat and which case I would most likely come here cuz it seems like they really put it all on the plate.

As you can see there’s a cockroach or cricket on my utensil when I asked one of the waiters
What is this ? He quickly picked it off and said I’ll get you another one
I said what is it ? Is it a cockroach ? He replied we don’t have any cockroaches here but no apologies whatsoever not knowing that I had taken a picture of it
