Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Decided to stop in the Wanna Burger in Raymore for lunch and try their new Buffalo Ranch Chicken sandwich. We have their burgers periodically and have always been satisfied, but not so much with the chicken sandwich. First off it did not come out looking anything like the advertisement, but to be fair they never do. Secondly I thought it was a fried chicken breast and in fact it is three of their chicken strips placed on a bun, which brings me to the final disappointment. The bun was smashed and soggy and when I took a bite the who sandwich fell apart. I ended up just eating the chicken strips individually. I think this sandwich was a big miss and they should take a page out of Chic Fil A’s sandwich book. My wife had a burger which she is always satisfied with and of course you have to love the fries and spicy ketchup won’t be getting the chicken sandwich again. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean the employees were very pleasant and the serve was good.

Took almost 15 minutes to get our food. Only two other diners in restaurant at time I noticed drive through was not busy at all. Don’t know why it took so long. Was actually fixing to go to counter demand my money back and go somewhere else when they finally brought our food. I could understand if they were busy but for what business they had at that and how long we waited for 2 sandwiches and fries was long.

I like to come here after work as I usually don’t get off till way too late. The food is always great and KK who runs the drive through is the absolute best. Please give her a raise. When I don’t want to cook or am super tired I love the food and the KK service. Definitely beats any other place open late.

Two kiosks inside to order from as well as the counter which makes it easier. The employee at the counter was very nice and brought food out quick. Very good southern sweet tea and burgers! First time at a Whataburger and I’m jealous my state doesn’t have any; I’d love to come by again some day

I tried their fish sandwich and it was delicious. But honestly, nothing compares to their melts!! I haven’t tried their breakfast food yet but I’m sure it will be good

Honestly, when they came around I thought these were going to be the bomb especially the way people talked about how great it was. Seriously NOT impressed by their food and service is slow. And it’s not specific to Raymores location, ive eaten it in OK too.

We hadn’t had these in the LA area. They are wuite like the Orange County Omega Burger, but with a lot smaller menu.

My double cheeseburger was very good. We went because we were looking for a spot to dine in late. The staff was very nice, brought out condiments and made sure we had what we needed.

Wifey had a bacon cheeseburger single. Split our sides, she onion rings, I had fries.

Nice to find a late night operation especially on a Sunday lnite.

I have been to many Whataburgers and this visit was very disappointing. There was no one to help people in the lobby. The kiosks didn’t work and no one acknowledged I was even there. The service was poor and it is witorth the trip to travel 10 minutes to the next one and would still get your food faster.

If you’re from Texas or visit Texas, Whataburger is well known, it’s one of the food staples for Texans. I was introduced by my husband when first visit his home state. Burgers are crazy big, must try the spicy ketchup. If they bring back the Dr. Pepper milkshake, gotta order it’s so good!
I tried the patty melt for the first time, it’s good but I felt it’s missing something like add bacon.
My thoughts, taste much better in Texas, but it’s a treat when on road trips. If never had Whataburger, try it, treat yourself, don’t be afraid to explore new places.
