By far and in my opinion, the best burger in town. Me and my wife try to get to this place at least once or twice a month. If we miss a month, they recognize us and know what exactly we want. That’s a great customer experience. The food is delicious but the service is just as great.
Do yourself a favor and try their burgers, onion rings or fries and chocolate malts…you will not regret it.

When I tell you the BEST homemade burgers & milkshakes around town. Everything is made to order nothing is sitting under a warmer or a light to keep it warm. I usually go twice a month when I’m in my office during tax season. The next time I go I’ll have to take a picture. I usually don’t make it off the lot before it’s gone.

I was visiting Memphis today and thought about my teenage years and decided to take my family on a memory walk with me to : Lot-A-Burger. I was surprised to find it still opened and unchanged, except ownership. I was shocked that it was still exactly the same since,-as if time stood still. The burgers are still phenomenal, as I remembered them,— they’re like the ones you make at home, with real 90% ground choice beef. This is an iconic, OOAK, “walk up” restaurant. I worked here in 1971, when I was 18 years old. The burgers are same as they were then: Giant, delicious burgers. When you’re in Memphis make this a memorable stop. Tell them Queen Bertha the Queen of the South sent you.

Service is straight and to the point. Food is excellent and at a fair price. Call/ order ahead as the line can get long at times. Very thankful that they have a veggie burger option.

My husband and I tried this place yesterday after hearing about it. We must say that the food was delicious!! We shared a delicious double cheeseburger, philly cheesesteak, and grilles smoked sausage sandwich. They were delicious, juicy and full of Memphis style flavor. The service was fantastic.

I ate here a couple days ago. The food was delicious. I must admit the prices were astronomical for a takeout burger joint. It totally caught me off guard. This place is good for a nice treat every once in a while, but definitely not an economical place to grab a quick bite. The service was ok. The employees are a bit impatient with customers and not very welcoming, but I was able to talk to them and offer compliments about the food. Try it if you can, but know beforehand that the food isn’t cheap.

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich combo. I paid a little over $20 but I got seasoned fries which was an up charge . The wait was about 15 minutes which was not so bad. The staff were nice. My fries were good but my chicken sandwich was not good. It had the potential to be good but it was extremely salty. Too salty to eat.

Best Burger spot in South Memphis but don’t show up with anything less than $20 if ordering for yourself. Don’t bother looking at menu prices because they are all wrong and she will charge you for EVERYTHING. This is my receipt for a double bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries and lemonade.
