So I’ve been looking forever for the perfect NY style pizza in Florida. Living in NY/NJ for half my life, I’ve been a snob on pizza. I am so glad to have finally found the NY pizza I’ve been craving for years in downtown Clermont.
A huge rave for the owner Vinnie of Chef’n It Up Slice Bar. I stopped by to check it out and saw that the slices looked just like the slices back home. Tried the plain slice and it brought back all the great memories. It was so good I called my sister and bought two extra large pies to take home. My family were so happy after trying the pizza. Thank you!
This great father and son establishment will bring us so much happiness. Vinny is originally from Brooklyn. He and his son are such nice guys. I absolutely love this spot. Great place to watch the games while having a slice and a beer. Thank you so much Vinnie and son! You guys Rock!!! Btw I heard your cannolis are amazing. Can’t wait to try them next time!

This place is one of the best pizzerias I have been to in a long time. Their sicilian pizza (one of the few places to have it) is out of this world. The chicken parm has arrived and is perfect, with al dente Linguini pasta, generous seasoning, and generous chicken proportions. The business is family owned, and the staff (including Vinnie) are amazing.

My husband and I had a 16” pizza with pepperoni and bacon. SO DELICIOUS! The crust was perfectly browned and the toppings were top quality. The owner was very friendly and kept us excellent company while we shared our meal. We will definitely be back!

Never again. Seriously, the workers including the owner couldn’t be less enthused to be there. The least welcoming atmosphere downtown. You can feel the tension from the second you walk in. My family and I came in to order slices, both the owner and a young man looked at us and turned away leaving us standing there waiting…so we wait some more before we decide to go up to another worker, a young female at the register who couldn’t be bothered. Still, I don’t know why..but we order the slices. We wait, we wait and wait. As a person who grew up in the pizza business my whole life I thought it was weird that slices were taking so long. Well, no one bothered to tell us they were even ready- had them sitting on the oven for the longest time before one of the other young men asked the young lady what we were waiting for…Honestly, I don’t know how they have the reviews they do because this place felt sad and does not make you want to come back. I know the pizza business can be trying- but this was ridiculous.
Edit to respond: This is not a troll- and we did order 2 cheese slices and one Sicilian slice yesterday (Friday January 30, 26) it was my husband, my daughter and my 3 year old son. My husband waited by the counter and we walked back and forth towards the sticker and toy ball machine multiple times as we waited. I wouldn’t waste my time leaving a review on a business if this wasn’t true.

I wish I found this place sooner! Probably the Best pizza I’ve had since moving here 15 years ago. My 8 year old exclaimed it’s the Best pizza he’s Ever had. The sauce is Seasoned and not just Salty or Acidic, there’s Actual seasoning that sends your taste buds to heaven. The pepperoni has the right amount of heat, and is a good thickness (none of that cheap See through pepperoni). Next time I’ll take pics, it was too delicious, I ate it too fast to snap a pic.

We went in tonight and got a large all meat pizza bc I simply am exhausted with graduation being tomorrow and can not be bothered to cook. It was AMAZING!! From most chain places I need 2 Large pizzas to feed my family. One was MORE than enough and it was so good we will be going back. Service was fantastic as well. Glad to see a family owned lil hometown business. Can’t wait for more!!

Where to begin.. oh how hard it to find great NY/NJ style pizza down here in the free state of Florida. We’ll atleast that quest is over! A+ on the pizza today gentlemen A+!
I ordered online, the estimated time for my order to be ready was spot on. Fun fact, ordered a Sicilian slice clearly a gamble on how fresh it woukd be. Blazed past that mystery when the whole pie came out and my slice was placed on a plate with my order. Almost exactly the same time my regular pie came out of the oven also.
The details:
Sicilian- regular- super tasty, almost perfect sauce and cheese, crispy edges and soft dough. Although a bit on the heavy side, the dough did not disappoint! Keep in mind its a bit heavier than the usual so one will probably get you close to full. None the less very enjoyable and tasty.
Round- Regular- as close to perfect all around. Great crust, primo sauce and cheese, perfect crisp, well balanced ratio. Absolutely an all star!
Small shop, 4 ovens, two guys hustling pizza as fast as it can perfectly cook. I was behind a gigantic order and they never skipped a beat! Pizza went in and out like clockwork. Each perfectly executed and boxed.
From oven to customer over and over, this place will only become busier once word gets out!

Great pizza! Crispy crust but thin enough to fold. I am not usually someone who loves sauce, but the sauce on the pizza was delicious. Cannoli also amazing. Family business that will definitely be in our regular rotation!
