Welcome to Bagel Land
Since 1972, Bagel Land has served Rochester’s best water-boiled bagels, couture breakfast sandwiches, pizza bagels, and fresh coffee.

Overall, bagel land experience was good. Outer facade is rather plain and inside is small, but the food was good and the service was pleasant. Not really an atmosphere … just a small inner space to wait for your food.
I tried a FireSalt bagel with mango cream cheese and it was quite good.

This place is simply amazing. The most friendly husband/wife team who run it go above and beyond, they even personally delivered bagels to my son’s apartment without having any payment setup. Very old school, authentic, best bagels I ever had and I lived in Manhattan for 2 years!

Got up early to grab bagels for work. No breakfast sandwich offerings. No lox–in Brighton at a “bagel place.” No hot dog bagels available. Bought 1.5 dozen bagels and two tubs of whipped (so turns out hardly any) cream cheese. Got handed three bags–asked for a handled bag (anything) to carry them into work. Was offered a freezer bag. Bagels doughy and weird–low quality, store bought flavor. Staff useless and snickering. First and last visit

Been looking for salt bagels. Was told this was the place to try. Just picked up a dozen and now I’m eating one in my office, plain and dry, like a raccoon. 10/10 delicious just like this, but I suspect it’ll be better, toasted with some cream cheese later. Quick in and out. Laid back vibes. Will be back regularly. 🙂

Incredible selection of bagels and cream cheese. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are really comparable but portion sizes and cream cheese portions are really huge. The flavor and textures of the bagels is better than anywhere. A dozen is actually a bakers dozen so you feel like you are getting an even better deal at the end!

The best bagels I’ve had outside of long island. Bagels are made fresh every day boiled and baked just like they do in Long Island in Brooklyn. The owner was super helpful. And I like the fact that he helps his local community by allowing the underserved low-income Community with discounts on their food. You couldn’t have been nicer in the food couldn’t have been better.

If you are from NYC area, NJ these are only real bagels to be found in Rochester. Not baked bread in bagel shape like all others in area. Yum.

Bagels Make U Happy! Bagel Land Is no secret to those who know Real bagels! Growing up in The Bronx it has always been near impossible to find Real bagels Anywhere else In Western NY, possibly everywhere in NY north of Westchester County, nothing comes close to Bagel Land. If you live in Monroe County and haven’t had a Bagel Land bagel- you haven’t had a bagel!!!

Updated March 2025: More than a year later they are STILL burning their bagels, especially the cinnamon-raisin. Guys, how hard can it be to pull these out a few minutes earlier so they aren’t scorched?
ORIGINAL REVIEW: An institution. Our family has gotten bagels from them for decades. Unfortunately, 2023 into 2024 has not been great for them and their quality has significantly deteriorated. The current biggest problem is their baker who routinely burns their bagels, especially the cinnamon-raisin. We’ve gotten scorched bagels again and again, and the result is a very tough and often bitter bagel because of the char on the bottom.
