Overall, a very good experience with just a few weaknesses. Reservation was early enough to enjoy conversation but by 6:30–7, it was too loud for quiet, casual conversation at the table.
The food was very good overall. Calamari with hot honey sauce was excellent. Salmon and rockfish were both prepared very well. The broccolini pieces were too large with very tough stems. And I’ve never had shredded brussels sprouts, which were not bad but needed a little something..
The service was very good. I wish I could rate this place 4.5 or 4.6 stars. Definitely much better than a 4 but not quite a 5.

I visited with friends for dinner on a weeknight and, since the weather was so nice, we chose to sit outside. The service was excellent, and the menu offered a variety of delicious options. Everything we ordered was fresh and very enjoyable. The lobster tower was a delightful way to start the meal. The mahi, prepared Thai style, was incredibly good, with the Panang sauce adding a spicy and flavorful touch. Be sure to save room for dessert; their apple dessert was outstanding.

Went to West Coast Provisions with a friend for dinner. We started with the crab appetizer, which was good. She had the lobster roll with a salad and truffle fries. She really enjoyed it, especially the salad. I ordered the shrimp pasta. It was just okay. It wasn’t very filling, and I don’t like having to pull tails off shrimp when they’re covered in sauce.
We split the apple dessert, which was fine. The chocolate martini we shared wasn’t very good.
That said, I really loved the atmosphere. Overall, it was a good experience, even if a few things missed the mark.

First time trying this place, and my wife and I loved it. We came for the happy hour drinks and found they also had a happy hour food selection. Started off with 2 dozen oysters on the half shell, 2 spicy tuna rolls, and the tuna tartar tacos. We also had a few alcoholic beverages to go with the selection. Everything was so tasty and reasonably priced, we then ordered the mussels, Parmesan truffle fries, and a third spicy tuna roll, after some feedback from our server, Haley J. The food was absolutely delicious, and we can’t wait to come try other items on the menu. The sauce for the mussels was so tasty, I had to get a container to take the rest home.
Haley J was very attentive, provided great input on selections, and checked up on us regularly to include any last minute drinks as happy hour was ending. Her constant smile was so welcoming, she made the experience for us. Great atmosphere, very clean and upscale appearance. If I had a criticism, it was upon our initial arrival and seating. We came for happy hour but were apparently seated in an area that didn’t serve that menu. We had no idea, but they happily moved us where we needed to be. They also explained why when I asked. Just keep that in mind when seating during that time.

We enjoyed an excellent meal in the outdoor patio at West Coast Provisions. Our waiter was very thorough and friendly. The food was delicious. We ordered east coast sushi and fried oyster apps, and seared salmon over brussel sprouts and fish tacos entrees. The chef was able to accommodate my dairy-free diet by using olive oil instead of butter for my entree but I had to request it. Gluten free entrees and Vegan options are available on the menu. It would be nice if they had specific dairy free options on the menu (instead of all Vegan)
I would suggest eating indoors, as the outdoor patio was very noisy from the close traffic. It was an extremely humid day and there are no ceiling fans or air circulating outside. The indoor seating appeared to be very clean and modern.

Fun lunch spot. Stopped on a super cold winter day, so no sitting outside, but inside was so warm and cozy. Absolutely beautiful design. Huge bar, tall ceilings, comfy baquettes in the most beautiful blue. Lots of options on the menu. Had the shrimp and grits which was prepared like a soup. Great taste. Shared a donut dessert, too. Everything the table ordered looked good and tasted great. Our server was fabulous and patient with our group staying to catch up. Lovely restaurant and wonderful meal!

Friday night reservation. Place wasn’t completely booked but it was a good crowd. Open concept dining room so was a bit noisy but not too bad. Server was friendly but service overall was a little slow and lacked attention to detail—forgivable but that’s my constructive criticism. First round of drinks took maybe 15 minutes. Food was outstanding. Especially recommend the steak tataki and octopus. Cocktails were good and creative. Will return.

A nice restaurant in Short Pump, offering a nice variety of dining options. Seafood is the main focus. However, there are plenty of other choices available. We started out with the oysters on the half shell and the fried calamari. The calamari had a very tasty sauce, which I greatly recommend. The oysters were also tasty. The steak frites were a good choice. The steak was tender and the fries are crispy. The tacos are good, but nothing spectacular. Our server was very friendly and made our dining experience pleasant. If you are in the Short Pump area, give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

West Coast Provisions is the one of the best restaurants in the Richmond area.amazing service. Professional, engaging and getting it done. The atmosphere is very nice both inside and outside dining. They have a active bar as well. The food is amazing. I had a simple burger and fries. So so tasty. My wife has the scallops and it was so so good. Every dish was well presented and lived up to its looks. We had donuts for dessert. As you can see from my pics they where good. They are slightly higher in price for the area BUT worth the money. You simply get what you pay for . Great food 🙂 We are looking forward to going back.
