The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Bhatura Chana , Samosa Chaat and Malai Kofta. In Scotland, This is my first restaurant so far which has many veg dishes. Balbir’ @ Route 77 is my must to go place if I am around Kilmarnock.

We had a wonderful meal yesterday. There is a wonderful menu for all, and I was especially interested in vegetarian and vegan options. Fabulous. Very tasty options, staff most helpful and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to all.

Great place, very good service from employees who are welcoming with great quick service no waiting. Great place
BUT:
Personal space, on paying for my meal, cashier who knew her work well was interrupted by her boss, I was not given personal space to enter my pin on card machine as the boss literally put his eyes on my fingers as I tried to enter the pin, He then removed my bank card from machine hence I felt intrusion of my personal space and privacy.
For that reason I will not visit the place again, Great outstanding and friendly staff in uniform but overall boss was ill mannered. My visit was on the 10/10/25 approx 1715 hrs.

2nd time in Kilmarnock this year and 2nd time to Balbir’s Indian restaurant. I had the mince lamb kabab, which was good but the chicken wings were better last time. The mint sauce was really nice and creamy. Naan bread was decent, chicken chettinad was classed as hot, but could be hotter for me, had the garlic chilli last time. The staff were all great and geared up for Halloween the owner’s granddaughter did a fantastic pumpkin carving. The owner seems to really care about customer service. Be careful with some speed cameras on the main road!

Not a bad place for an Indian restaurant which is not like most others. The menu is not typical, and is more selective than your traditional listings of various types of curry, so be prepared to try something different.

Getting there is a bit confusing at first as it sits right on a main duel carriageway, but you have to get off that and approach from the rear, which looks industrial and not like a restaurant at all. The car park is front and rear with a steep hill up to the top one – it may take a few new drivers by surprise, but it’s perfectly safe

Seriously excellent food. I’m a critic! Well staffed with cheery, knowledgeable waitresses who kept their eyes peeled at every table when not serving. My only regret is having passed it daily to Glasgow for years.
