Before our latest visit, the last time I’d been there was around 17 years ago down in Rochester. Needless to say, it’s changed…and this restaurant that already served great food got even better! A local establishment with a classic vibe inside, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better burger in town. There are plenty of options that they change it up a bit but they also still keep the go-to classics around also. Personally, I enjoyed the California burger the most along with the spicy buffalo wings. On both, they were perfectly cooked and I also was impressed with what they did with the Brioche bun. The burger was perfectly cooked and very well balanced between the flavor of the meat and the seasoning. Top that off with a generous portion of fries and a cold beer, all at a fair price. Needless to say, my wife and I have found our new go-to when we’re going out for a dinner date. Newt’s earned not one, but two stamps of approval from me!

Stoped in for the first time to check it out! Nice place, sat at the bar. Good draft beers, had the nachos, those were big and very good. Price is decent for the area. Only issue we had was we lost the bar tender for awhile but not a big deal otherwise she was great. Will come back again and try the burgers!

Again, fish and chips were on the menu so, of course, I had to try them. The offering from Newt’s was above average with plentiful cod fillet and a crispy coating that adhered well (see photo of the inside). It would have earned 5 stars if it were not just a little overcooked.
We dined at an off hour and the service was great (can’t comment on the service during a busy time). I would return to try other menu items.

Stopped by Newt’s in Apple Valley, and it was alright. Felt kinda bad for the bartender—looked like she was the only one working, so service was a little slow, but she was doing her best. Definitely seems like they could use an extra set of hands.
Beer was good, nice and cold. The burger was decent—better than most but nothing that really stood out. The fried chicken sandwich was okay too. The chicken itself was juicy, but the breading was a little dry and flaky, so the whole thing ended up feeling kind of dry. Fries and tots were solid, though, so no complaints there.
Not sure if we’ll be back, but if you’re looking for some decent bar food, it’s worth checking out. Hopefully, they get a little more help because the staff that was there was working hard!

Great burger bar. I really enjoyed the Breakfast burger with side of the gouda cheese sauce and sweet potatoes fries. My friend enjoyed the BBQ bacon burger with fries. Our server was great. I would eat here again easily. Solid burger place.
It’s bigger inside than appears from outside. The host was memorable at being a little disappointing. We stood at the door for several minutes to be seated and lacked some warmth. It was a short encounter, but memorable.

I LOVE my Newts! My only issue with this location is they don’t have the full menu from the OG Newt’s in Rochester. They did however make Mike D’s Fatty Melt for me with no issue upon request. But I just wish they offered the full menu so that others could try the best that Newt’s! has to offer.

This was her first time here. The food was fantastic. The wait staff was great. I strongly encourage you to check out the Philly cheese steak sandwich. The burgers are excellent as well and the portions are not small! The onion rings and tater tots were also great and you can’t go wrong with either one.

Omg! On a cold, very windy winter night with wind chills waaaayyy below 0, we stopped in to the warm and inviting bar and grill to enjoy dinner. Our burgers were delivered 5 minutes after ordering and they were prepared to perfection! McKaylee, our bartender, was quick with greeting us and getting our cold beverages. We had the California burger with a side salad, and the vinegarette dressing is delish, and the Mushroom Swiss burger with tots. The tots were hot and crispy. You’ve gotta check this place out. And sign up for their birthday list. We each receive a $15 discount with the postcard we received in the mail. You’re going to be glad you decided to eat at Newt’s. Oh, and TV’s all over to watch your favorite sports game.

I’ve been to Newt’s 3 times now, and every visit has been fantastic. Our food has always arrived quickly and hot, and we’ve never had a single issue with the service. Everyone we’ve interacted with is consistently friendly and welcoming.
They recently took my favorite burger, the Spicy Cowboy Burger, off the official menu, but when I asked about it the staff didn’t hesitate to make it for me anyway. That kind of flexibility is rare and so appreciated. My husband and I can both be pretty particular about what we like (and don’t like) on our food, and every single order has been prepared exactly the way we requested, without an issue.
Newt’s has become one of our go-to spots for a casual, reliably delicious meal. I’d recommend!

The boneless bourbon buffalo wings were great. I liked the fried pickle planks…there are a lot in an order. The chicken tenders were fine but sort of small. The fries were ok. Service was great!! They have pull tabs, popcorn and Pepsi products.
