The first time I went the ribs was dry and jalapeño popper lacking freshness. Both definitely at least a day old. Second time tasted fresh and cowboy beans were right kind of spicy but a little sweet and no meat. No ground beef or bacon. The next week coworker got it and said it was dry. Found this new BBQ place in town. Finally got a chance to swing by for lunch today. You walk in and you’re greeted by City View Legend Steve Harris, a competitive BBQ cook. Many City View students will remember all the feeds he put on for the kids throughout the years. I’ve heard so many fond recollections from my coworkers.
I went for the Ribs, Cowboy Beans, and Potato Salad. Also got a Hot Link with Chips.
The Ribs just pull off the bone and melt in your mouth. The flavor on the tastebuds was delicious! The Cowboy Beans are absolutely the best BBQ Beans I have ever had to this date, seriously. I am very picky on Potato Salad and this one also ranks as one of the best.
When I finished this plate, Steve asked what I thought, and I told him, “It was a fat guys paradise!”
Got to try a couple spoons of the Pulled Pork, and it was a true treat. I love Pork Chops, but never a real fan of Pulled Pork, but this one here was freaking good!
Chased it all down with a slice of warmed Buttermilk Pie … now I need a nap!!
Small older building, limited on seating, so if it’s busy you might be getting it to go. Bring some lawn chairs and sit out under the Pecan Trees.
I highly recommend you give them a try.

Went to pickup a call in order for lunch at noon and they said they were out of food they didn’t even open until 11:00 ? So we placed a pickup order for next day. Came by to pick up said the same thing. And it smelt like chemicals cooking in the microwave. They were rude and this is no way to run a business.
