Tried Fonda Dulce Jesus Mio for dinner and it was a fun change from the usual spots. The place has a bright, welcoming vibe and a menu that feels very home-style and comforting. We went for a couple Colombian classics (the kind of plates that come loaded), and everything tasted fresh—good seasoning, hearty portions, and not “chain restaurant” flavor. I also liked that they have bakery items, so you can grab something sweet or bread to go after the meal. Service was friendly, but it can get busy, so I’d come a little earlier if you want a more relaxed pace.

I had dinner here with a friend. The atmosphere and the dress the staff wore were authentic and appealing . I had the sancocho. It was so flavorful and more than enough. I also has the fresh juice. I will definitely return to try more on the menu.

I had a very disappointing experience at Fonda Dulce Jesús Mío in Ocala, FL.
The service was extremely poor from the start. It took about 30 minutes just to receive three empanadas, and when they finally arrived, they were cold. I also asked for lemons, which never arrived, even after reminding the staff.
Unfortunately, the problems continued with the main dishes. The food again took around 30 minutes, and when it came out, my plate arrived long after my wife had already started and was halfway through her meal. Dining together should be part of the experience, but that clearly wasn’t the case here.
To make matters worse, the food was not hot when it arrived.
Overall, this was the worst service I have experienced at a Colombian restaurant. I truly hope the management reviews their service standards because the experience did not reflect the warmth and hospitality that Colombian cuisine is known for.

We had a wonderful experience on the day after Christmas for breakfast no less. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully plated. I had the Omeleta Dulce Jesus Mio and also a delicious hot chocolate. The atmosphere was also welcoming and gorgeous. We are excited to come back and try the dinner menu. We also couldn’t resist getting some goodies from the bakery to go.

Beautiful little restaurant that has a Mexican party vibe. We tried the ribs and it was good. The margarita drinks were good as well but on the expensive side. The fries were not so great, they were average and frozen store bought type. The food portions were on the smaller side per the price. I would suggest trying it during a lunch special or waiting for a coupon to save a little money.

Just visited the bakery again. The first time we ordered to go, but this time we stayed for brunch. All the Colombian delights your heart could desire—pan de bono, buñuelos, and cheese breads were amazing. We also had the calentado paisa and it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try the restaurant side for dinner and drinks.

I am latino and we so excited to try this place.. we havent had a bad experience like this in a long time. We were there for almost 2 hours… The waitress was not attentive… The appretizer took 30 min to come out and the food took over an hour to come out… The waitress didnt refill our water, when we asked for more water they accidentally brought us sparkling water… We had to ask for plates to eat our food on..we were missing a setof utensils… the mango smoothie was more milk than mango… the appetizer meat was both fatty and hard… it made our stomachs hurt. I was so excited to try them… Our bill was 75 bucks… we will not be returning.

Horrible. I went today with a couple of friends and waited around 40 minutes for our food. The waitress barely checked in on us. They gave food to people who got there after us and took forever to give our food, drinks and receipts. They had no tostones and no hamburgers. What restaurant runs out of HAMBURGERS!? It was very disappointing. The food was okay. Not the best. My friend ordered the milanesa de pollo and it came with a salad, NEVER GOT THE DAMN SALAD. Mind you, the restaurant only had like 3 people in booths, NOT PACK AT ALL! Horrible customer service. Never coming again. Do better.
