As someone with food allergies I was thrilled to discover Giovanna’s. They have so many gluten free options and are very accommodating. It’s very rare I am able to choose more than one or two things from a menu but here you can get sandwiches with gluten free bread, omelette with gluten free bread (or scones or banana bread), soups, waffles, pancakes! I settled on an egg white omelette with potatoes on the side and banana bread. The bread stole the show – it was soft, delicious and not overly sweet. I can’t wait to go back and I highly recommend this place.

House made gluten-free scones are delicious! GF breads and dishes give a wide variety of choices. We had GF focaccia sandwiches which were excellent. Great coffee. The nicest people! Great atmosphere. We will be back to explore more of the menu and enjoy the company.

It’s a small cafe and though they can accommodate large parties, it’s tight seating. They do not accept reservations and it is first come, first serve. My party wasn’t to be seated until everyone arrived and even after arrival, we waited 5-10 minutes to be seated. It is very homey due to the decorations. It feels and looks like grandma’s house. The staff were very attentive. We had a large party so I was unable to take pictures of what everyone ordered, but I can account for my portion ordered in my table – the kids table. The pancakes were fluffy. Butter and syrup on the side. My fage Greek yogurt with fruits, granola and honey was big. I wish there was a little more honey mixed in, but it’s tolerable. The banana bread with berry butter was good. You don’t really taste the berry butter since the banana bread is strong in taste, but maybe on toast I would be able to taste it. It’s a nice little cafe for a quick brunch on a Sunday.

Giovanna’s Cafe in Ramsey, NJ. The comfort level here is 10/10. Once you step inside feel as if you are eating in Giovanna’s home with family photos, fresh food and amazing service. Coming here for Brunch last Sunday was a great experience. The food comes out fresh and ready. The service is fast but friendly. You really feel like you’re home! Look out for the rotating eggs Benedict option-the BLT Eggs Benedict was perfect!

Giovanna’s Cafe is one of those cozy little spots that feels like a warm, welcoming American home. It’s a classic Western breakfast joint with a menu full of comfort food and delicious homemade desserts.
We came in on a busy Sunday morning and, as expected, the place was packed. The vibe is super homey and laid-back, but be prepared for a wait/attitudes if you’re coming during peak times!
The food is solid – nothing groundbreaking, but classic and satisfying. The egg, cheese, and sausage sandwich was crispy and delicious. My friend ordered the frittata that came with fruits!
Now, the only downside: while the staff was friendly and patient with us, we did run into a bit of an issue when splitting the bill. Our waitress was super nice and accommodating, but the chef (who was near her) had a noticeable attitude when we asked to split the check at the end. She made a point of saying we should have asked earlier, which left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it definitely wasn’t the smoothest experience.
Prices are a little high, but still fairly reasonable compared to other spots nearby. Just maybe get the whole “splitting the bill” thing sorted earlier to avoid any tension!

Yum! What an outstanding little place in Ramsey! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast outside – each of us got an omelette with a biscuit (it was a bit of an up charge for the biscuit but 1000% worth it)! My only negative (which is not really the restaurant’s fault) was the spotted lantern flies flying around outside and inside the AC was not working properly throughout the restaurant. Definitely check this place out if you’re in Ramsey, you won’t regret it!

Giovanna’s Cafe is absolutely incredible, especially for Celiacs! They have delicious GF french toast and pancakes, and I am excited to go back again to try more of their GF options! Their food is always so fresh and delicious, and they are very conscientious about food allergies. I’m so happy that a coworker recommended them to me. Their non-GF options have also looked delicious and tasted even better as reported by my family, friends, and boyfriend. Can’t wait to come back here in the future!

Perfect for a good old fashioned home-cooked meal! Visited on a snowy Sunday after Christmas. Place was packed but we were seated promptly. Jodi, or server was knowledgeable and fast. We each had omelets which were enormous, made to order and delicious! Hash browns came well done as requested. Gluten-free bread freshly toasted and yummy. This was an absolutely winning experience!

Every time I am about to go, I get giddy with excitement because I know that everything will be satisfactory. Food is always prepared to the guest’s liking and is always served hot (or at the proper temperature) and fresh. And their specials… my word. I was lucky to be able to enjoy a cheesesteak that came with THE BEST onion rings (they even go through the extra prep time of bathing them in ice cold water overnight, so that the onion doesn’t slide out of the batter).
Go here and you will not be disappointed!

I loved the food! We didn’t have to wait to be seated since we were only two, but larger families might have to wait a little.
The portion sizes were very generous. We ordered a latte and a cappuccino, both of which were large.
We left very satisfied and would definitely come back.
