Lil Woody’s was a delicious discovery. I first saw this place while visiting Aslan Brewery which is right next door.

I love that these two places welcome each others offerings in their own dining rooms. Very neighborly!

At Lil Woody’s, I had a custom made burger with the vegan patty. (They have a veggie patty that looks promising but it’s not vegan if that matters to you). It was flippin’ delicious! My 3 friends had other burgers and they all looked good.

The large hand-cut fries was enough for the four of us!

Ever once in a while, I’ll crave a milk shake despite being vegan. It takes me back to my youth. Honestly though, nobody will want to be around me if I have one. But, I hear they’re great.

Went here for the first time and loved it! All three of us enjoyed our burgers, fries, and onion rings. As a non meat eater, I love that you can sub an impossible patty. Service was extremely friendly and patient and food came out perfectly. The gentlemen who took my order showed me how to join the loyalty program too. The location was clean and had table and bar seating. It’s great that they give back and help food insecure communities too. We will definitely be back!

Finally an A++ burger! We have been hunting for a burger with good quality meat with some flavor, soft/sweet bun, and not $20. The patty is not particularly thick but is better than overcooked smashed patties. Got the New Mexican, and the green chile left my tongue burning and my nose running. The queso was warm and sloppy. A burger SHOULD leave drippy meat juices everywhere, and this one delivered. Next time I’ll try a classic burger, but a green chile cheeseburger was too tempting to pass. Fries were ok – skin on cut potatoes taste potato-y but I don’t love that much skin. Outdoor patio makes for good dog-watching. Not fancy. Just a solidly good burger for a decent price.

Had to give Lil Woody’s a try after being featured as Fox 13’s Best Burger in Washington. That’s a high bar but so glad we discovered Lil Woody’s via the publication. We visited the Greenlake location for lunch. Right off the bat, the menu is pretty big, not like some other burger joints who have followed the minimalist trend. No, here at Lil Woody’s you will find many menu items to keep you coming back to try something new. At least, that is what we intend to do. We had the Big Woody burger, Lil Woody, and the Cap Hill chicken burger. For sides, we went with Fries and Onion Rings. The Big Woody burger was well worth the approx $10 menu price. It was stocked full of toppings such as lettuce, bacon, pickles, onions etc. The bun was soft, I think a potato bun, and held up well. It did not get soggy. So it was a proper bun. The paper wrap on the burger also helped keep it together nice. I felt like the burger was a good value with it being so full of toppings. Patty had a nice char on it. A person could easily just eat that as a meal and be full. We didn’t stop there, however. The onion rings and fries portions were huge. Way more than I expected for the money. Each onion ring and fry was cooked perfectly. There were no “crispy critters” in the basket. You could tell they put care into the frying with just the right golden brown color and consistency. We enjoyed every bite of the fries. The surprise item for us was the chipotle mayo. Man, was that good! Well worth the 50 cents! I would say Chipotle mayo should be a requirement to try if you go to Lil Woody’s. In summary, we enjoyed all the items. Service was on par. We will be back!

We ordered Big Woody, Fillet Oh Fish, side of fries and onion rings. Best thing on order was the onion rings, crisp and nice! Burger was fine. McDonald’s makes a better more seasoned burger. Fries were total let down. Hand cut but oily, unseasoned, and limp. Fillet oh fish was fine but bland.

Overall. Price fine. Food is unseasoned and forgettable. Wouldn’t return.

Overall, this is a cute little burger joint in the Tangletown/Wallingford neighborhood that adds some variety to the area. I like that they use grass-fed beef, and every week they have a burger special – this week there was a catfish burger that my friend enjoyed, but the bun fell apart so quickly that they had to inhale the burger.

I tried the Fig and Pig burger that had preserved figs, bacon and blue cheese. I was disappointed that there were no greens or fresh veggies, and despite the potential for this being a culinary delight, it was drowning in blue cheese and the preserves which made it slightly unappetizing. The fries were good – basic shoestring fries lightly salted.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lil Woody’s that reflects very poorly on their customer service.

I placed an order through Uber Eats, and when the driver arrived at the restaurant, the staff informed them that they handed the food to someone else. Instead of resolving the issue, the restaurant refused to remake the order or help correct the mistake.

When I called the restaurant, the situation became even worse. After calmly explaining the issue, the staff member hung up on me twice. On my third call, I was told I would not be allowed to speak with the supervisor on duty and that I would not receive a refund or any help resolving the issue.

The interaction was extremely disrespectful. At one point the employee placed the phone down without hanging up, leaving the line open for more than 20 minutes rather than addressing the situation while I sat there waiting for help. I eventually just hung up.

Mistakes happen in restaurants, especially with delivery orders. What matters is how the business responds. In this case, the response was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to take responsibility for an error that occurred in their store.

Between the refusal to remake the order, the inability to speak with a supervisor, and being hung up on multiple times, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had with a restaurant.

I hope management reviews how situations like this are handled, because no customer should be treated this way when trying to resolve a simple mistake.

Inviting atmosphere. Delicious fried chicken sandwiches. Queso fries are a hit! The vanilla milkshake was perfectly blended. Not too thick, not too thin, just right! Superior service.

This is my second visit. I wasn’t very satisfied the first time, but I decided to give it another try since my previous visit was right after they opened last year.

Both times, I ordered the French fries and the salmon burger. The fries were really soggy and oily, and the salmon burger was pretty dry. Worse, while eating the burger, I felt something hard in the salmon patty. At first, I thought it was a fish bone—but to my surprise, it appeared to be a piece of plastic (see picture). That’s quite concerning.
On the bright side they have a lovely patio, so it’s a great place to eat when it’s sunny.

Half of my chicken sandwich was a thin piece of chicken jerky with breading. The diameter was smaller than the bun, so it was both thin and small. If the piece of chicken isn’t large or thick enough, it should be obvious when dredging, so it’s not really even a problem with cooking it poorly – more speaks to being cheap. $10.50 for a sandwich like this doesn’t feel great.

EDIT: Someone reached out about refunding the order, which was nice, but then no refund came thru
