They have definitely updated their payment options, which is a huge improvement from the old cash-only days. Most people do not carry cash anymore, so being able to pay with a card makes the experience much easier.
My go to treat here is the vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. They get it right every time. They also offer doggie bowls, though to be honest the portion size is pretty small for the price. In general, prices here run a bit high for the amount of ice cream you receive, and the quantity can vary depending on who is working. When the owner is around, you can sometimes tell the scoops are more controlled. Still, everything tastes great and the service is always friendly.
The location has plenty of parking and everything is outdoors. There is no indoor seating, but it works just fine for a quick stop on a warm day. Service is fast, the staff is polite, and the menu has a good range of ice cream options, sundaes, Blizzards, cones, and frozen yogurt. The soft serve is consistent and always hits the spot.
Overall, this Dairy Queen is a reliable seasonal choice for soft serve in Salisbury MA. A little on the pricey side and portions can be inconsistent, but the friendly staff, convenient location, and classic Dairy Queen flavors make it worth a visit each season. A solid 4 star spot for an easy ice cream stop on the North Shore.
1. Great Location. Literally a mile from I-95, 2 miles from I-495, and 3 miles from Newburyport.
2. Fast Service, and I mean very fast. Lines can be long, but once you get in line, you’ll be at the window in minutes. (From my experience)
3. Good Ice Cream and Blizzard’s.
There always packaged, 3-4 long lines but employees do great job keeping it moving. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ALL-DAY!
My favorite is Oreo blizzard yummy
You can sit at tables outside. Decent amount of parking ️.
Salisbury, I believe, still has a facemask mandate requiring facemasks be worn outside.
I’m not big on franchise ice-cream, but, I recommend this Dairy Queen.
