It was pretty good. I got the nachos and they were huge. A little odd that the cheese wasn’t baked onto it, just shredded cheese. Multi colored chips, sour cream, and salsa along with beef or chicken. My friend got sweet potato fries which were nice and crispy. The place is along a river which provides a nice view. When I was there the music was all 80’s and 90’s with music videos playing. Worth checking out.

I wouldn’t go back for the food, but if I was looking for a nice place on the river to drink, I’d go back. The place is overall pretty cute, but it’s definitely a dive bar with mostly fried food options. Not the best place for people who are gluten free—I thought my drink was decent though. We got our burgers with no buns and overall, the burgers weren’t bad. I had Als burger. They took way longer than expected to come out though. I also liked the regular fries and sweet potato fries more than the kettle chips.

We read reviews and decided to try it.
Bartender said the kitchen was closed, due to scheduling issues…and on that day he was the bartender.
He was nice and sociable person.
He was nice enough to make us some “to go” food.
There was only five customers in at that time.
We ordered bloody mary…he did good on that and our “to go” was ok too.
The bathroom did not have any towels, but some was put in..
Which could use a deep cleaning…
When we payed …sort of caught off guard for cost of our drinks and the “to go” food.

Great pit stop on our way to SW Minnesota! Turkey burger w side salad and River Tots were quite tasty! Didn’t give it 5 stars as they didn’t have a daily soup choice. The outdoor seating and river views are a plus to enjoy an adult beverage. A little tough to find – but worth the search. Friendly staff, dogs and patrons. Can’t wait to stop again.

Stopped in last Friday for the first time with a friend who liked the bar before. Even though the bartender saw us, she walked outside for some reason. We waited a while. After our first drink, we waited even longer. If you look at the photos I posted it shows 2 bartenders, one counting a til, the other counting tips in front of everyone, with two other staff members just standing there. We were barely even acknowledged. From what I got, its Very clicky, maybe. Like they would rather talk with their friends or regulars, than someone passing through. However the view outdoors was pretty. And the bloody Mary was good.

Local bar with great view of the river. I ordered the house club and my wife had the Reuben special. They have a large selection of alcohol including the bartendres special concoctions. Caitlynn’s unnamed drink. The sandwiches were huge. The deep fried cheese curds were home made and delicious.

Fantastic find to grab a yummy bite to eat with the family. Lacrosse was the halfway point for our drive and we decided to eat at River Rats based on reviews. It did not disappoint! Service was friendly and quick even though there were busses of people coming and going for a Boody Mary pub crawl. Food was awesome! Definitely a great place to check out hidden in Lacrosse!
