Delicious. Pricey. But my rule for eating out is that it should be better than what I would make at home. It was. Perfect proportions. Lovely brunch experience. We heard a few Beatles songs in the backdrop. Rocketmaaaan!!!
I loved the coffee. It was perfect for me – nice and earthy. Service perfect. They are the best about refilling coffee and water!

Not at all what I expected out of a French bistro. I expected a snooty, uptight, high class restaurant. What I got was totally laid back. The servers were attentive. The food was great. Crepes with smoked salmon, or crepes with berries. Grits, omelettes. Everything was cooked perfectly! The dining room was very contemporary. I highly recommend it.

Just had Valentine’s dinner with my husband and cannot believe how amazing it was. The food was delicious and unique. The service was the best I have ever experienced. Not only did she help us with the food (we don’t know much about French cuisine), but she also showed a true interest in us and made our night special. The chef and owner even came out and gave me extra sauce for my gnocchi! I will be recommending Le Jardin to all of my friends and family!

Wonderful brunch, very welcoming and accommodating! We needed a restaurant for a family gathering after our mother’s funeral and had trouble finding somewhere open at noon on Saturday and willing to take 20+ people. The Chef at Le Jardin was fantastic, we arrived to find our tables all set and the restaurant ready. We were able to order off the regular menu and everything came out quickly, beautifully presented and deliciously prepared! This is a very elegant spot and brunch was wonderful. I had a fresh fruit crêpe that came with choice of two sides, so I had a lovely salad with walnuts, asparagus and bacon as well as a cherry clafoutis, a type of fruit tart. Our group all complimented us on our restaurant choice and everyone loved all of the different dishes they ordered. We (so much) appreciate the extra care taken for having such a large group. Kudos!

It is both reasonably priced and delicious. Le Jardin reflects the season with their menu. The tasty foods are portioned well, as well as beautifully plated. Now their cocktails are okay but they’re inventive.

Our dinner New Years Eve at Le Jardin may have been the worst dining experiences in the Des Moines area. First impressions were negative as the hostess was not at all welcoming. We booked well in advance and upon arriving early to a nearly empty room, we were seated in front of the door. We asked for a different location and were told it was prearranged seating and abruptly told no. The wait staff was informative, but rushed us through the courses. The food seemed to be pre-prepared and tasteless, except for the lobster ravioli entree. This was not at all what one might expect from a derivative of La Mie. I don’t might paying high prices for good food and service. However, this was not the case. A very disappointing evening.

Nicely done food in a simple setting. Saturday (and Sunday) brunch is pricey, but very good. Each crepe and omelette dish is served with two nicely-sized sides, however. Crêpe Bayone (ham, gruyere, bechamel, basil) was excellent. Caramel Apple Crêpe is not overpoweringly sweet. Peach cobbler coffee cake (available as a side) was extremely good.

Dinners are also available with a menu featuring brunch-type omelettes (sans included sides) and other entrees. The beef tips plate was rather average, which is a shame considering its price tag. The beer-based braising sauce was delicious but the meat was chewy. Baked cod was very good, albeit a bit salty.

Brunch is so delish here. We were in Paris this summer and the food and atmosphere is amazingly similar. Great service and the chef is a genius! It’s our go-to place now!

I love the Mango Mimosaic, Sweet Potato Spinach Omelette, Lorraine omelette, ham and Swiss omelette. The Petitemail Jardin Saldana is wonderful! I also enjoy their Sriracha sausage patties and peppered Bacon.
