Just had Karls Bar-B-Q express for the first time and it did not disappoint! The staff was welcoming when we walked in and was quick to get our food while still having good conversation as they were getting our order together. We got a half rack of ribs, 2 meat plate of pulled pork, 2 sides of mac and cheese, 1 side of cowboy beans, 1 side of baby reds, 2 cornbreads, peach cobbler, and apple crisp for $46! Every single thing was awesome! Everything was seasoned perfectly but not over seasoned, specifically the sides like other BBQ places I’ve had. Their sweet and spicy BBQ sauce was great added to the pulled pork and even the side of pickels that come with it were the good bar style pickels! 10/10 would reccomend and will 100% be back!

Great food and super friendly staff. We stopped here on a road trip, and it did not disappoint. I had the two meat platter with pork belly burnt ends and ribs, with macaroni and coleslaw for sides. The meats were great. The macaroni was delicious as well. I’m picky on my coleslaw, and the coleslaw did not disappoint. Perfect balance of creamy, acidity, sweetness, savory, and crunch from the veggies. The prices were more than reasonable. I’ll be stopping by next time I’m in Eau Claire.

2022 to 24 felt like peak Karls. Karl himself seemed nicer in person and delivery/pickups. Bigger ribs, fresher ground beef ect.
The past year(ish) quality seem to go down. I think I voted for best bbq restaurant im ec.
Honestly it feels after that year Karl (owner himself) hospitality dropped. Portions dropped, quality dropped. My loaded baked potato tn had a finger nails deep worth of grease.
Id recommend a bbq food truck like rolling smoke (well ig last time I had them they where bomb)

I’m not a BBQ goer in the slightest, I just took myself out on a little date. Firstly, the staff were amazing! They were patient and kind through and through. Being a beginner, they gave me samples of whatever I wanted. I was very surprised at their portion sizes! I ended up getting the 3 meat platter to try as much as I could. My total came just under $35 which included tip, a bottled soda, 2 sides, cornbread, and the three meats. The textures were quite impressive, although the burnt tips felt a little chewy? Fall off the bone ribs were exactly that. I couldn’t pick up a rib without some meat falling off it! I’m only giving a 4 star because the brisket and ribs could honestly use more seasoning/flavor. I would say it’s an experience worth trying at least once! I have lots of leftovers!

Wonderful first experience! Best brisket both myself and my boyfriend (from Texas) has ever had. The loaded potatoes are also a work of art. Truthfully, my expectations were exceeded by the food and the service! Going to be trying out cobbler soon, but I’m confident it will be as wonderful as our entrees. 10/10 will be back and will be recommending to everyone I know!

The tri-tip was terrific, I ordered a half-pound of that. Also sampled the brisket and pork belly burnt ends. Everything had great flavor and the young man cutting the servings was super friendly and knowledgeable.
The sides are generous portions. We would definitely return.

The smoke barreling out the smoker made my senses take over and I had to try the bbq! I was greeted by a young lady who was very helpful and answered all my questions I had about the food and place. The ribs were delish! Right amount of smoke and rub. The brisket was also juicy with about 1/2 of the meat had a smoke ring. It was also tasty. The pulled pork was good. Slightly dry with some pieces but overall was good! The sides are perfect with the cant go wrong mac n cheese and the brisket chili was a surprise winner!
Def gonna go back to try the other meats. Go check them out!
