Cannot recommend Post 1917 enough. My girlfriend (Celiac) and I had an amazing time. The atmosphere, food, service and drinks were all amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly and the fact my girlfriend was able to have chicken parm was great! Highly recommend the butter crumb cake for dessert! If you can I highly suggest making a reservation!

It was my first time at Post 1917 the other day, with my sisters and two friends! I hadn’t heard about Post 1917 before but my friend Kate, had really good things to say about the drinks/ atmosphere/ food and service.
Was truly blown away at how big it was inside and the seating was incredible. There were a lot of spacious booths and the bar seats were really nice as well. I loved the chandeliers in the middle of the bar. Really makes the space.
The bartender was awesome. It is clear that he knows what he is doing and makes a really great cocktail. Extremely consistent.
We ended up going with various shareables and this is where I was really blown away. The food was genuinely a 10/10. Everything. Special shout out to the Cauliflower and the 1917 post salad. Will be coming back just for those items honestly.
Server, Emily was great. She knew we would be talking/ catching up for a while. Made sure our glasses were full, plates were clear etc. All of the staff was great.
Great place to come for drinks/ shareables and catch up!

This place serves one if the best steaks I have ever had. At first I was hesitant but it is phenomenal. I got the 22 ounce bone in ribeye and the bacon brussel sprouts. If you want a killer steak do it, get one here. If you don’t like good steaks that’s too bad and you should still come and get one.
I also got an old fashioned that was absolutely amazing. I sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing, attentive, and made sure they took good care of me.
Finally, I ended the night with their classic cheesecake. It was excellent and well worth a try or two.
If you get the chance try this place and I bet you won’t regret it.

We visited Post 1917 for a special occasion recently and had a very positive experience. The steaks were excellent—definitely the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere is upscale and inviting, especially the bar area, which is large and perfect if you just want a drink and an appetizer. The pricing is on the higher side, but it is consistent with other high-end steakhouses and the quality matches. Highly recommend.

We loved it, and cannot wait to go back! On par, if not a little better, than our favorite steakhouse in Boston. This says a lot! It is especially nice to have a high quality, upscale restaurant in the suburbs, that isn’t a chain.
The decor and design is beautiful, and the vibe is fun and upscale. The staff are very welcoming and the service/experience is what one should get when spending a lot of money at a restaurant. This is important to me, and Post 1917 nailed it.
The food and drinks were all fabulous. We had steaks, truffle fries, a salad, an appetizer, and dessert. There were some really unique appetizers. We had the truffle and lobster arancini, which were delicious. Can’t wait to try others!
My only other constructive comments are that we had to wait 15 min past out reservation time, which I don’t mind at all, especially because there is a beautiful bar to hang out at. I’m just mentioning it because I would prefer to wait than be told that my dining experience is limited to a certain about if time, which a lot of restaurants do and it rubs me the wrong way. So keep doing what you are doing.
Also, you should offer bread. Please

I NEVER leave reviews but felt compelled to because of how bad of an experience we had here. The food was so unbelievably low scale poorly prepared. The Harvest Chicken was dry, flavorless, and the green beans were untrimmed. The chicken parm was mushy, and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. The $16 side of pasta that came with the chicken parm was an overcooked mushy glob. The steak frites were okay, although I’ve had much higher quality for far cheaper so that was disappointing. The only redeeming menu items were the wagyu dumplings and black truffle lobster arancini – where the flavor was great but quality still seemed on par with apps you’d encounter at a Cheesecake Factory. Overall, we left feeling like we had been scammed by microwaved Costco food disguised as fine dining.

We visited the newly opened Post 1917 in Lexington for a birthday dinner celebration. The Bar has a cool fun vibe and the service was excellent. I got the Chilean Sea Bass and it was outstanding and beautifully presented. Absolutely recommend their Cucumber Martini and do not skip dessert! We frequently visit the Reading location, but the Lexington location is at the top of our list! We will be back!
