Found this place on Google. And wow, everything was superb! The atmosphere classy, giving that Italian home feel. The service was great! But the food, wow, just amazing! My favorite was the blueberry pie! Will be back!

After years of hearing how great this place is, I finally got to visit it last night. Very impressed by the quality of the food, cocktails and service. The music was also very pleasant. Our server Steve was very attentive and was able to make great recommendations, since he knew the menu very well (despite being a new team member). The owner himself was also around, looking out for his customers, which explains why this place is so great and successful! Hope to go back soon!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday to see how the Italian fare was compared sone of our favorites in Little Italy and they did not disappoint. Amarone’s served delicious authentic and comfort level foods that are too die for. Pasta is homemade, overflow of seasoning and one in each and every bite of each dish, we literally couldn’t make up our mind as everything looked so magnifico. Lovely home setting type feel inside. I strongly recommend, the crab cake for appetizer, black linguine , bbq pork chop, tiramasu and canoli for dessert. Full bar and house wines. They did make a formidable Long Island Ice Tea for a native New Yorker and I appreciated both glasses of it. We will be back for lunch very soon. Grazie Mille Amarone.

Living in Bergen County, NJ, close to Manhattan, there are many options for Italian food.

Opened in 1998 across the street from the Holy Name Hospital on Cedar Lane in Teaneck, we decided on dinner here as first-timers for some of us inside a renovated carriage house. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant, but one can park on a nearby side street or across the street in a parking lot. We had dinner reservations for a party of 7 on Saturday night by calling the main line to Amarone, clearly popular with the locals.

Upon arrival at this small, quaint establishment, my partner, our friends and I were greeted by one of the owners and seated promptly in one of their dining rooms at a table covered with white tablecloth. The vibe was relaxed with dim lighting.

The menu is varied, serving authentic and traditional Northern Italian fare. There’s a separate menu of the day’s specials. For appetizers, we decided on some specials consisting of Fried Zucchini Flowers, Pear Salad, Oyster Cocktail, Homemade Crab Cake, Calamari Fritti, and Mista Salad. Our main entrees were Lasagna, Linguini Vongole, Beef Meatballs, and Penne Con Carciofi.

Complimentary bread started our meal. The food was expertly prepared to perfection. The ingredients used were fresh, and those flavors were familiar and comforting. The pastas were perfectly cooked, and the sauces were rich and delightful. Portions were spot on.

After our meal, the staff brought a complimentary pumpkin tartufo with a lit candle to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

The restaurant management made sure one felt at home, and the owners Nick and Nick would check on us periodically. Our server Juan Carlos was knowledgeable, attentive, and accommodating. The prices weren’t really for budget-sensitive patrons. Yet at the same time, they were quite reasonable, especially given the overall excellence of the dining experience.

If you haven’t been here, you should. If you have, then you need to come back again, and we can recommend this place.

This is a very nice Italian restaurant. The food is very good, and the staff is very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is quite comfortable. The prices are slightly higher than most, but the experience was worth it.

A local gem with unforgettable flavors and hospitality. Every visit to Amarone feels like stepping into a place that genuinely values its guests. From the moment you arrive, the owner personally greets you at the door with a welcoming smile that sets the tone for the entire experience. Their branzino is a standout masterpiece. The skin is crisped to perfection, delivering a satisfying crackle that contrasts beautifully with the buttery, tender fish beneath. The accompanying broccoli rabe is vibrant and balanced, with just the right hint of bitterness to complement the dish’s richness. Between the incredible food and the deeply caring atmosphere, Amarone is a great longstanding choice in Teaneck.

A Teaneck Gem: Amarone Delivers Authentic Italian Delight
Amarone Italian Restaurant in Teaneck is a must-try for anyone craving high-quality, authentic Italian cuisine in a warm and inviting setting. My recent dinner here was a memorable culinary journey, with every dish shining in its own right.
We started with two excellent appetizers. The calamari was perfectly prepared—tender on the inside with a light, crisp exterior, demonstrating a masterful touch in the kitchen. Following that, the fresh bruschetta was vibrant and simple, featuring ripe, juicy tomatoes and fresh basil atop perfectly toasted bread, a true testament to the quality of their ingredients.
For the main course, the table sampled a wonderful variety. The Farfalle di Salmone was a creamy, savory hit, combining tender pasta with flaky, rich salmon in a well-balanced sauce. The Black Linguine Tuttemare was a stunning dish, featuring jet-black linguine loaded with a generous and fresh medley of seafood—a true taste of the ocean. For a classic favorite, the Chicken Parm was executed flawlessly: the chicken was pounded thin, breaded perfectly, and smothered in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce and high-quality mozzarella.
While all the savory dishes were superb, the evening’s clear champion arrived with dessert: the Pistachio Cheesecake. This is a dish that deserves a spotlight. If you visit Amarone, do not skip this incredible treat.
From the appetizers to the show-stopping dessert, Amarone Italian Restaurant offers a delicious and satisfying dining experience. The quality of ingredients, the execution of classic dishes, and the unforgettable pistachio cheesecake make this Teaneck spot a place I highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

A FOODIE’S FIND: AUTHENTIC ITALIAN 25 years running. It’s very popular to locals . Call -in reservation is recommended especially on weekends.

A white tablecloth restaurant that makes me nostalgic of my many visits to Italy. The restaurant ambience is superb with an outdoor patio. It has a full bar.

The wait staff is outstanding .

The menu is short and sweet. There’s a separate menu of the day’s specials. The also a good wine list.

The Antipasti listings are shareable servings. The Grilled Calamari Special is particularly superb: tender, flavorful . The Caprese is screaming with fresh in-house mozzarella.
— Great pairing with a Gavi.

Great choices for pasta, meats and seafood. None of the awful American adulterations. I am partial to the Anitra Allá Gennaro: succulent half duck served with risotto and cranberry sauce .
— Great pairing with a Chianti Classico DOCG..

There’s a short lovely dessert menu. And. Fantastic Limoncello to finish off.

It’s a terrific dining.

I was planning on going to the Italian restaurant in my hotel nearby, but it was packed with business people staying there. I then did a quick Google search and discovered this incredible Italian gem! From the moment I walked into Amorone I sensed the incredible atmosphere -friendly, warm, and amazing! I ordered from the specials, first I started with the grilled octopus, which was exquisite! I followed that with the perfect Fall entree, the pumpkin ravioli. I could not recommend these dishes more! If you haven’t been here you should, if you have, then you need to come back again and again! Check out the new specials, they’re beyond delicious! I’m so glad I did not eat at the hotel. If I were visiting NYC or lived there, I would cross over and come to New Jersey just to eat at this place! Excellent service as well, BTW!
