Reviews
The customer service was just as bad. The short lady who seems to be the owner’s wife was extremely rude. When I went to pay, she even asked if I “wanted the change back,” clearly implying I should leave it as a tip. She kept hovering and questioning what I was getting, and when I mentioned that one of the buffet items was empty and needed to be refilled, she told me to “just get something else” instead of replenishing it.
This entire experience was unacceptable. I’m definitely not going back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
I called in a takeout order and my husband went to pick it up. They gave us an order for another Kara, and told my husband it was paid for. When he brought it home I realized it was a DoorDash order and called the restaurant to see if I could pay for it. They told us we had to come back into the restaurant to pay, and I asked if they wanted me to bring back the food that was the wrong order. They said no.
When we came in to pay, they tried to get us to pay for both orders. I said I didn’t want to pay for all of that food, so we would just pay for the order we have at home. They insisted that we needed to pay for our original order and then bring the incorrect order back into the restaurant if we weren’t going to pay for it.
I told them I didn’t want to have to pay for their mistake in more time (going home and coming back AGAIN) or money. I also said it is not sanitary for them to resell the food that has been opened at our home.
Finally my husband intervened because we weren’t getting anywhere and we paid for our original order and my husband took back the wrong order. I realize we could’ve just kept the food but we are committed to doing the right and honest thing.
This was really bad business. They lost a loyal customer and referral business for $40 worth of food.
The restaurant it’s self is smaller with a handful of tables.
Staff sat us pretty quickly, and followed all current covid standards.
The menu has a nice selection of items and we so chose several.
Main was a non vegetarian sampler and it was absolutely delicious! We added some bread and rice plus chicken as well and made a feast for 4.
We enjoyed all the food, so why only 3 stars?
Honestly a star lost on overall cleanliness, not saying it wasn’t clean at all but I have high standards.
Also while enjoying dinner there was a couple in there with the loudest kid in the world who ran wild with no one asking him to stop and really became annoyed. The parents or staff should have asked to calm and quiet the child.
The restaurant offers both veg and non-veg items in the buffet. The food was delicious! What stood out was the absence of the overwhelming spice level (not talking about hotness) and the resulting smell often found in below-average Indian restaurants. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I particularly liked the Punjabi vegetable dish made with cauliflower and daal. The mango ice cream and rice pudding were also great. Other dishes included plain rice, naan, bhatura, veg polau, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, saag panir, veg korma, veg pakora, etc.
The service was fantastic! The owner/manager came out to ask about how the food was. The server was also very helpful.
Naturally, this was ignored and there were peas in the fried rice.
The manchurian badly breaded and burned where the breading was missing. Largely flavorless aside from heat.
The chili paneer was dyed red. I understand the dish is red, but our chili paneer was intentionally made to be more red than needed.
I would not order again.
The dishes are prepared with minimal salt and no preservatives.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
