Much like the family property it sits on, Tillie’s culinary menu strives to take what’s traditional and familiar and infuses it with an array of international flavors, creating a new set of rules for fine dining in Central Texas. We hope our unique take on American Nouveau cuisine will redefine the dining experience in Dripping Springs and Austin. Join us at Tillie’s dining room table for a modern interpretation of classic gourmet dishes and a celebration for what lies ahead.

My first visit to Tillies was an okay experience. The interior was visually stunning. We arrived on Christmas Day, unaware that the establishment only offered brunch for the whole day…well so we thought. I would think they would have some sort of menu special for the holiday. Upon observing other plates and patrons enjoying non-brunch menu items, we realized that the dinner and lunch menus were available. While the server and hostess were pleasant, the lack of clear communication regarding the menu options was a notable omission.
We were sat next to the bathrooms while there was plenty of other open seating. The food was good for the most part. I enjoyed my burger; it was interesting that I or my guest were not asked how we’d like our burgers either. The fries that came with the burger were poorly seasoned. But overall, I enjoyed my meal.
Unfortunately, my other guests didn’t enjoy their meals. The price point was reasonable, but compared to other restaurants in the area, Tillies falls short in comparison.
I would come back and try in the future for a more positive experience. But I won’t be running back.

Fabulous, memorable dining experience! One of the most stunning restaurant settings ever-a gorgeous Vietnamese town hall imported to TX!?! Flavors were unique (Thai-inspired crab cake!) and everything was delicious. Our waitress (Selena?) was sweet and attentive. Smoked chicken was divine. Short ribs flavorful. A very special birthday dinner!

My wife and I decided to celebrate our 25 year meeting date and it just happened to be Feb.15th so we got to try the V day fixed menu. It was fantastic. The service was top notch. We were seated quickly and the staff was very attentive. It was busy but they took the time to chat with us. Every course was cooked perfectly. We even had the pleasure of meeting the GM who is also the sommelier. He recommended a great Pinot Noir to go with our meal. If you are looking for a great date night or just a great meal with close friends and family I highly recommend it. Worth the drive.

Dec 24–Date night at Tillie’s on Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs. The food and service were great with the restaurant decorated for the holidays. We were fascinated with the history and architecture of the restaurant, the building of which was imported from a community in North Vietnam, in multiple shipments, and named after Attilia “Tillie” Aldridge Anderson Hancock, the women credited as being the first female developer of Austin.

Brisket hash was excellent. Coffee paired well with the cimm roll. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the center. Dinner menu looked great. Just did breakfast. Service was slow but we weren’t in a hurry for brunch so not a deal for us. Definitely a good place for mimosa and visiting.

Even if you’re not staying at Camp Lucy (which I also highly recommend), Tillie’s is worth the drive. Top notch service in a beautifully designed setting, the food is perfectly executed. Don’t skip the Brussels to start or the wild berry cobbler for dessert!!!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Tillie’s for our wedding anniversary and they delivered on every level including the anniversary card and glasses of champagne at the table. Food was amazing as always, cocktails were spot on, and both the halibut and smoked pork chops were delicious. Bringing it all together with an exclamation point was our server Halley who was not only wonderfully personable but also extremely knowledgeable of the menu so made great recommendations. She also answered every question we had during our dinner about preparation, ingredients, etc…and there were many because the dishes had so many layers of flavor. Awesome place!

Everything about Tillie’s is wonderful. Our server, Serena, was attentive and very intuitive without hovering, and added to a very enjoyable dining experience. My partner and I shared everything and didn’t feel like we should have ordered separately as the servings were ample. We started with the crab cake seasoned just so and not full of filler, moved on to the petit filet – cooked beyond perfection, medium rare, and so tender it almost melted in our mouths – and finished out the evening with the light and not too sweet Meyer lemon tart… the perfect ending to a delicious meal! Can’t wait for next time!

It was a beautiful place and I loved the view of the Alpacas from our table. However, it took over an hour for our food to come out which was just the classic breakfast for the two of us. I understand that we didn’t have reservations on a Sunday afternoon, but please provide the expectation that there would be a delay. More communication is better than none and we would understand. Once the food arrived it tasted like it was under a heat lamp, it was just better to eat it and move on. My guess is the server was overwhelmed by her tables, timing of seating and/or just forgot. She didn’t come back for us to ask for condiments and we just figured it was better to leave so she could have more time back. She was lovely, atmosphere was lovely, but the cost should align with the hospitality. The time we were there we spoke to our server 4 times. Once we sat down and ordered drinks, once to order, when the food was delivered and the check. Of course constant hovering is weird, but 2-3 times before the food comes out helps the customer understand there is a delay in the kitchen, issues, whatever. Hope this helps and thanks for reaching out.

This is my 2nd time in Tillie’s, and I had a wonderful experience then, so I especially wanted to bring my brother who is visiting us.
We made a reservation for 6 pm and were seated almost immediately. While the assistant server came almost immediately with our water, we had to wait ~20 minutes for someone to see to us. When the assistant server came by and refilled our water, we asked her, and she immediately apologized and said she would check on it.
Lexie, who was seeing to other tables, came to us and asked if we were taken care of, and when we said no, she said she would serve us. Then on, everything went smooth.
Food:
We were not that hungry as we had a late lunch traveling back and from Houston, so we had the NY Strip and some sharable items.
Foccacia – a little to oily for our liking
Brussel Sprouts – delicious, loved it.
Crab Gratin – amazing, loved it.
Lamb meatballs – lacked in flavor, and the pita was too oily
NY Strip – for the most part, okay, but Chimichurri lacked in flavor as well.
The setting is lovely, and it’s just beautiful surrounding the restaurant.
