We ordered two raw oysters we have never tried before, meatballs, roasted Cauliflower with anchovies and almonds. We also ordered the Granche, but we got the Astoria salad instead. It was delicious anyways. Oh the bread is delicious! Fresh with herbed butter. Definitely will come back again.

Superbbbb! I’m literally still eating, but can’t wait to praise this place. It serves great oysters and their special for today is magnificent. French Toast Lobster like no other. And their Uni Oyster is so good. Keep it up , guys.

What a treat – oysters on the half shell exceeded expectations with a delicious mignonette. Very high quality raw bar selection with roasting specials. Highly recommend the swan crudo with scallops, salmon, and hamachi. Service from Monica and Ashley was attentive, prompt, and convivial. Can’t wait to go back.

I don’t often write reviews, but I felt compelled based on such a wonderful experience! The oysters were superb and the crudo was outstanding. We had excellent wine/beer and the hosts and staff were very knowledgeable, engaging and lovely. Great atmosphere, I highly recommend it and cant wait to return.

We have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Oystertown since their first pop-up a couple years ago, and our last meal with this talented duo at Poppy Hall. Big Sur Bakery founding Chef Philip Wojtowicz’s talent and creativity in the kitchen has created a menu filled with fresh and delightful dishes. There is something for everyone! Where to begin? Be sure to order one of each from the Raw Bar. Plan to order more than one Old Bay Hot Cross Bun, and use it to sweep every plate clean. The fun butter, their Hippie Hand Grenade, the Italian meatballs with red sauce, and the chopped salad, so much happiness emanates from his kitchen! Meanwhile, Monica Schweiger‘s many talents balance the pace of the entire experience. Her imaginative design of the entire space provides a much needed original concept upon the Monterey Peninsula. Their beverage program highlights local talent, and compliments with classic parings for each of Chef’s offerings. Save room for dessert, as their imaginative finishes make it difficult to have just one. Case in point, the Banana Pudding with its Oyster ‘Cracker Jack’ & peanuts. Bring a friend, or two, and plan to order a bit of everything and enjoy! Thankful for our new little family run neighborhood spot.
