We’re most-time RVers on our Dawg Haus hunt for the best cheeseburgers across the U.S. and Canada. While staying in Spearfish, we had Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews on our burger joints to try. Great garage and motorcycle-themed vibe with friendly, top-notch service. Mick had the Jameson Burger with whiskey BBQ sauce, onions, cheddar, and peppered bacon; Karla had the Hatch Green Chile Queso Burger with sweet giardiniera and mild queso. Both came out medium-rare on toasted brioche buns with tasty fries and sweet potato fries on the side. They’ve got over 50 beers on tap and fun adult milkshakes—our Mango Cart and Kona Big Wave mix was a hit. Overall, a really fun stop with Good burgers, great service, and a cool atmosphere. Much better than Sugar Shack in Deadwood, SD.

We ordered the classic burgers, which were absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The fries and tater tots were crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned, complementing the burgers really well. Each burger was $17.99, a bit on the higher side, but the quality and portion size made it well worth it.
The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive, with our server Amanda checking in just enough to make sure everything was perfect without being overbearing.
Overall, Sickies Garage delivered a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience—great food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service. Definitely a place we’d return to next time we’re in Rapid City.

If you evaluate this place according to what it is trying to be – a casual but fun burger spot in Rapid City, it does that well. Burgers are not gourmet, but they are packed with condiments and come with a broad dinner menu. Servers are friendly and attentive. Good spot to hangout.

I had such a delightful experience at this place! The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is truly fantastic. Everything fried, sweet, or salty is absolutely delicious! I tried the burger, and it was almost amazing—it just needed a little tweak. The burger buns were a bit dense and large at room temperature, which took away some of the flavor. But I’m excited for my next visit! I’ll definitely ask if they have other bun options or see if I can get the buns warmed up. I can’t wait to enjoy it even more!

Sickies’s garage Burger and brews is a nifty location for getting some really good burgers and cheese, curds and french fries and milkshakes. This place has it all it has a really cool atmosphere to boot. If you’re looking for a middle of the line “diners, dive ins and drives” style of place then this is where you want to go.
The staff was also very welcoming and nice and very quick to get the food out .

Very nostalgic memorabilia from the past. The music playing inside was good, and the sound was perfect.
We were seated right away, and our waitress took our drink orders.
We did order the chicken sandwich and burger with fries. They were both really good.
The only critique we are providing is the error the waitress made.
When ordering my burger, she asked me what side I wanted. I already looked at the menu and asked her if it came with fries. She told me I could choose from the menu. I pointed to her that the menu shows prices for certain items. She said no, it is included. So I ordered a side of Chili. (Was a cup, mind you).
When the bill came, I noticed I was charged $3.99. I called her over and explained again what I had asked her earlier. Her response was that she was not familiar with the menu. So I take it, she was new. (?)
She told me she would just pay me the $3.99 ($4.00) from her pocket so she did not have to get it corrected. I told her not to if she was taking out of her tips. She insisted and counted the o es and handed me $3.00 and walked away. Again, incompetent in counting? I just ignored that dollar and added it to her measly tip.

The menu is a little daunting being there are so many burgers, we had no idea where to start! But our waitress, Theresa, helped us with the most popular and what she liked!
We ordered the kids cheeseburgers, which were priced right for kids. The burger was a little small for the bun. But overall the kids ate everything! Another plus is, they don’t charge for sweet potatoes!! And they were so good!
My husband and I got the hot rod burger off their $10 lunch menu and the smoke shack burger. Both were good, great I wouldn’t say but they were good!

Food was great service WAS NOT!
From the beginning the service was terrible. Our server Lacey was kind but had to come back twice to ask us our drink orders. When we finally got the drinks 10 mins later 4 out of the 5 were right and let her know what we wanted but again when repeating the 1 drink it was wrong we said we will all do the same drink to make it easy. We then finally ordered which again was absurd to wait as long as we did for her to come back. We placed and got food and some malts.
As we waited for our food there were 2 different appetizers that we did not order that came to our table and let them know that was not ours. The appetizer that we did order did come the 3rd time. Our waiter was walking by and she said ohh did you order an appetizer? We let her know yes… there was other tables that we could over hear that were struggling with their stuff and not getting them.
Our food came and 2 of them there were issues with the side that was ordered was not the side we got and the burger we order was not the correct one. The lady that dropped them off asked if everything was okay and we let her know. She said she would let our server know. The guy that came over I am assuming was maybe the manager we let him know there has been multiple issues and our malts were not brought to the table yet and ordered them with the food. He corrected the food issue and let us know malts were not put in the order but we let him know that we did as we had a gift certificate for a free one.
The amount of times there were issues and were there for almost 2 hours as we were not waited on in a timely manner. The tickets were wrong but left them as it would have been another 20 mins to get them fixed. We had to get the malts to go as they came after we were done eating. Highly disappointed and there was no acknowledgment of the wrong doings and no apology. Will not be going back.

The food was hot, flavorful, and fresh. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were nice and crispy. We’ve been here many times and each time we go we are always happy with our experience
