So, I drove over an hour to gift someone their favorite acai bowl. The restaurant was small but peaceful—almost zen-like.
While I confirmed her preferences over the phone, the cashier, a young, friendly, and professional gentleman patiently assisted me, explaining the toppings and confirming the order. I was especially surprised how well the staff handled the sudden rush; a second gentleman quickly manned the other register.
Just as the crowd dissipated, a woman walks into the restaurant and immediately shifts the atmosphere. “Why are there two of you at the register?! I need you guys being productive, clean the windows, pick up trash outside the parking lot…”
She continued complaining as she walked behind the counter to the back. We (the customers) could hear her screaming at her employees. I was embarrassed for them because a manager should never speak in such an unprofessional manner.
Before I left, I decided to express my dismay. I asked one of the cashiers to identify the woman, and shockingly, SHE WAS THE OWNER! In disbelief, I still kindly asked to speak with her. He left his post to fetch her.
Twenty seconds later, the cashier returned. He murmured, “she said is it something important because she’s busy?”
I was flabbergasted! I opted not to push the issue. Instead, I have decided to share my experience here on Google. My reviews have been viewed over 35 million times, but I’ll tell you, I’ve NEVER had such a disappointing experience at a smoothie spot. The acai bowl itself was actually great, but her attitude left a bitter taste in my mouth that I won’t forget. I hope she learns to treat others with respect. What an experience!

Best bowls ever! The line doesn’t bother me because it is great, and I love to see black people doing well while they serve the community! I also have wonderful conversations with others that are just as addicted to the bowls as I am . Bowls are always fresh! I have been at both locations and the truck in downtown Atlanta. The bowls have a feel good aura about them! You always feel great after eating one! Go and take a friend or two!

My husband and I decided to try this spot out yesterday 10/8/24 and we were so pleased with our experience !
The bowls are HUGE (which we thought made it fair with the $pricing$ /14.50 for a bowl) , plentiful with fruits, açaí and all the other fixings. I got the cookie butter swirl açaí bowl and my husband got the dragon fruit açaí bowl . Both were DELIGHTFUL, full and FRESH (most importantly).
The gentleman that helped us at the register was kind and patient with us since it was our first time ordering there. We waited maybe about 10 mins for the bowls to be prepared. Once we were presented with them, we were in awe lol and couldn’t wait to take a bite in the car. We All in all, 10/10- DEF RECOMMEND ! We’ll def be back!

I’ve become a regular here. The acai bowls are my go favorite. I usually order the acai base (or mixed acai/dragonfruit base) with pineapples & strawberries (sometimes mangos if in season), NO granola, flax/chia seeds, agave and almond butter drizzle on top. The almond butter drizzle tho, is icing to the cake. Delicious and addictive. Well worth the $$ especially for the portion size and options for the standard bowl compared to other places that make acai bowls. They do have other add ons (sometimes I add ginger) as well for an additional cost. I Love supporting this business, it does get busy but I understand why completely. Healthy food options can be somewhat scarce on that side of town even tho it’s down the street from an international airport. So happy my friend introduced me to this place. I’m legit addicted. I hope they open to door dash pickup/delivery instead of uber eats since I stopped supporting this app for multiple reasons.

Yes. I got the açaí bowl with strawberries, blueberries, and granola. I’m in the parking lot tearing it up. M! Granola is crunchy and so good. Strawberries are perfectly sweet. Blueberries bomb. Açaí ice cold. Will be back 40 outta 10

The bowls are good. My issue is the cookie butter bowl. I’ve gone 4 times with in the last month .. 2 of those times. There was no cookie butter in the bowl. I feel like they don’t put the cookie in the bowl and bank on you paying the extra on top. Unfortunately, they are able to dispute they have the cookie butter layered in there because it’s layered. But once you start to eat and looking for that distinct taste and it’s not there.

I was up here, September 10 at 1:34 PM. it had been a while since I’ve been here and I really enjoyed the atmosphere so today I came and ordered a açai bowl along with other things . I usually check my items before leaving, but had to rush back to a meeting. Upon me arriving to my destination, I noticed that the bowl looks to have been thrown together. Something told me to check my fruit and to my dismay my bananas are literally half rotten as displayed in the picture. I also tried to call the establishment multiple times with no avail..! There is no reason to poorly throw this together to cover up rotten fruit! Please do better!

UPDATE 12/10 I was so excited to dig into my bowl until I went to take a scoop with banana in it, and they was mushy and grossly brown but the outside looked fine. It’s not something that could’ve been seen when the bowl was picked up (photo with ganola was from today 12/10). NO GOOD!! I am changing my ALL 5 Stars to 3.

Great experience on my first visit. Customer service was good, and they answered my questions with ease. I’ve had one of their bowls once before, which was good both times. I will return.

Just got an açaí bowl from the McDonough location and this what I got. I am so disappointed I come to this place at least 3x a week and lately at night the fruit is just mushy. I told the young guy the bowl looked watery and he stated it would be re made and this is what I got for $18.50 I will not be back for a while. Of course I wanted to turn around for a refund but my kid was tired

KNOW WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE YOU GET THERE!! It is a very small location with a very busy crowd. The bowl was absolutely amazing, but I could see customers being frustrated if they aren’t familiar with açaí bowls or ordering toppings. The guy at the counter suggested I add cookie butter and I’m glad I listened!! It was absolutely delicious! It took about 10-15 mins after I ordered & the bowl was HUGE for the price! I will definitely return again!
