I have been to the New City Diner on many occasions and I will go again and again. You can’t beat the incredible menu that features almost everything you could imagine in every ethnicity and every type of food. Everything I have ever eaten here has been delicious. I really enjoy their burgers and fries, but I have also enjoyed sandwiches, roast beef, soups, and chicken. It’s definitely the best diner anywhere near the area.
The people work in the diner are friendly and they care about their business. The waiters and waitresses are always cruising around with coffee pots and water to refill your drinks and they are extremely friendly. Prices for the food are reasonable, which is very important in these budget conscious times.
There is plenty of parking available on both sides of the diner.
I highly recommend the New City Diner. You will enjoy the atmosphere, eat a great meal and the bill won’t depress you.

We brought a large group there on a Saturday. (35 people) The restaurant was great. Despite already having a crowd there, they were able to accommodate us quickly. The food was delicious. (We loved the hamburgers and the chicken pot pie.) The service was friendly and efficient. Great place to stop. Thank you for hosting us.

Standard diner fare with abundance of options. 3 egg.omelette was nicely pan fried, balanced ratio of egg to meat and cheese. Home fries were okay, didn’t have bell pepper or onions but had a nice crisp. Diner toast on point, grape jelly. Also has a bar for early morning drinkers.

We had a group of about 40 people coming from a Basketball game heading back to Connecticut. We called to tell them we were coming. They had an area set up waiting for us. They had multiple waitstaff take our orders. Eveyone one was very friendly. I had the chicken pot pie it was excellent. I was told my meal came with dessert but our group was leaving so I was not going to get it. As I was leaving the person that I think was the manager or owner said, “Wait you get cake.” The piece of cake he gave me to go was 1/4 of a cake. Very friendly, shook my hand and thanked us for coming. I was not even the a leader of the group.

Just returned to our hotel from dinner. Had a hard time finding a nearby dining option that was reasonably priced via Google. .. heading somewhere else when we drove past this marquee. My wife and I always enjoy a good diner…. this did not disappoint! Excellent menu of specials. I had a chicken pot pie, generous fillings, excellent creamy sauce and wonderful flaky cust, all piping hot. Wife had half a duck. Two full dinners with sides, soup, and dessert, each under 20 before tax and tip! Service was solicitous and pleasant and QUICK without being pushy! Glad we happened upon this !

Had a decent crowd for a Saturday night when we got there, but emptied out quickly. Decor is your standard old school diner. Coffee was decent. Hungry Man meal was pretty good. Eggs were tasty and the bacon was crispy. The slice of ham tasted good too. Pancakes weren’t to my liking. Honestly I thought they tasted like oatmeal.

Portions here are massive. I don’t know how they keep their price points so low! This is becoming a regular stop on the way home from my son’s frequent hospital visits at New York Presbyterian Children’s Hospital. We stop on our way out of the city and typically get a second meal out of our leftovers when we get back home.

Not sure what the name discrepancy is about but all good. I comes up on google as the New 304 diner but it is also called New City Diner. Who cares. Its a diner with all the fixings. The classic dessert case is filled with homemade treats. The service is friendly and we enjoyed our breakfast. The muffins are delicious especially the blueberry and bran ones. Corn muffin also good. Omelettes are always my jam at diners. I would come back for sure!

I’ve been going to this diner for a couple of years waiting for it to disappoint but it never did. This place is great. The location itself is good. Always plenty of parking space. The service is excellent as well. They always great you with a smile. The food is delicious as well. I have no complaints. Once you sit down, the staff quickly asks you if you want coffee or something else to drink. The food comes out pretty quickly. They don’t play around with that. The food portions are also great. Best bang for your buck. Breakfast for two will run you about $40 plus Tip. I usually leave cash on the table. The bathrooms are always kept clean. Your coffee cup is always kept full and you never have to ask for a refill yourself. Some places you have to stand up and stare at your server for a refill but not at this location. Like I said, I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had a complaint. It’s usually busy on the weekends especially Sunday after church. If you’re in the area and want great food and service, this diner is perfect for you and your family. Enjoy and tell them Eddie sent you. (Which they have no idea who I am) lol. Enjoy the food and service.
