The food was good, portions were generous. However, we didn’t like that the prices were not displayed, the owner did not tell us at the time when we got the food, he told us- you’ll pay after you are done. Then he charged us $45 for a veggie and a chicken dish. We felt like it was a bit high considering that it was a food truck (we had meals at other food trucks and their dishes with sea food were not fore than $16-17). The other thing that we noticed that there were birds inside the truck, from outside it looked like they were eating the food particles (or who knows what) from the counter or stovetop. Not sure what the health department would say to that…

Really good quality Indian food at reasonable prices for Kauai, especially given the large portion sizes. Lots of good vegetarian options. We had the vegetable curry and chicken saag with a piece of naan bread and two Marsala Teas. It was enough food for 3 people. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Had a great experience! Will definitely eat here again.

The owner was very kind and friendly. We ordered for a large party and everything was fresh and tasted great. Palak paneer tasted so good. My husband accidentally dropped two boxes and the owner prepared it again for us and did not even charge us. Just remember he operates it all by himself and the place gets very busy during lunch/dinner hours so if you need a large order you need to go early.

We were surprised at the high quality food. The Chef was very polite, usually you pay first and then they provide take out. Here we ate and then paid. There are benches with covered canopy, lot of good veg options.
We had gone hiking and on our way back from Princeville saw this and stopped. Just to be on the safe side we ordered everything mild and it was quiet tasty.

Namaste has the best Indian food on Kaua’i. The chef used to be the head chef and part owner of another Indian restaurant before a falling out. He took all his recipes and expertise with him to Namaste, where his food surpasses all other Indian options on the island. His Tikka Masala sauce is the most delicious I have tasted anywhere. Everything he makes is fresh, hot, and filled with flavor. We have tried almost all of his dishes, and we can recommend the Fish Tikka Masala, the Lamb Rogan Josh, and the Chana Palak (chickpeas with spinach). The other food establishments in his area have failed or moved on, but he’s still here because his food is THAT GOOD.

Way overpriced even forKauai.
I got Paneer Tikka Masala, and a single piece of Naan. $26
And the Paneer Tikka Masala has little flavor. It’s ok, but I have had better in my small home town in Pennsylvania.
And the Indian owner was not friendly at all.
I tried to chat with him about India and Shirdi Sai Baba, as I am going to India for the whole month of March..tried to compliment the food even though it was mediocre…but he just ignores me at first, then gives a one word response and just turns away as I’m trying to converse with him. Nobody else was even around or ordering. Seems like with the price and level of service/friendlness he does not care about customers at all and only getting their money. And there are also chickens running all over the place including ontop of the eating tables. It’s sad really, I was going to eat here a few times, but now I will not be going again.. there are a few other Indian restaurants in town, I’ll be giving them my business.

I feel sad writing this review. The owner was so nice, friendly. He treated my mom kindly too. The food was warm and portions were generous. The mango lassi had actual mango chunks, which I enjoyed. Like other reviews mentioned, there are no prices listed. The owner asks you to enjoy your meal and then worry about paying. How hospitable you think. Only to be shocked when you try to pay. You’re hit with an upscale sit-in dining restaurant charges from a food truck. I guess this is a lesson learn to never order anything without knowing the price. We paid $74 for 2 just FYI, which is in line with the other reviews.

Don’t go this place. They charged $5 for chapatis that were clearly frozen and then reheated, which is completely unacceptable. The curry was quite bad and not fresh. The food quality was very poor, and both the dining area and overall food handling appeared unhygienic. For the prices they charge, I expected much better standards..

This is a good truck. The gentleman was very polite. The order was quick. The good was good. The portions were very generous. It was raining a bit that day. We ended up sitting in a shelter on the beach. That was actually better than sitting in front of the v good truck.

Best Indian food I’ve had! The food was terrific!! Good portions and great quality! The prices weren’t displayed but I’d say expect about $20 a plate… we got butter chicken and chicken tikka masala with a side of naan for $57. A bit pricy but we said it was absolutely worth it! If you want Indian I’d say go here 100%!
