Let’s talk food and drinks first! Great location if you’re in Portland or Middletown (right over the Arrigoni Bridge) with plenty of parking in the back. Wish there were more lights and signage from parking lot to door as my partner stated they wouldn’t feel great walking through there alone at night. Also seem to be LGBTQ+ friendly which I really appreciate. My partner and I stopped in because we had a pretzel craving we found HopKnot close by and looked at the menu 99% pretzel!! Some really amazing options from your standard pretzel to gourmet options, Knot Dogs (pretzel hot dogs) to wings. We ended up getting the pretzel with beer cheese and cinnamon sugar pretzel. The pretzels were made fresh to order and cooked to perfection. I do wish they were small and thicker pretzels but still great! The beer cheese was also very tasty with a bit of spice, which I appreciate. The cinnamon sugar pretzel passed my cinnamon enthusiast standards but I do wish it was covered a bit more and maybe dusted with Saigon cinnamon as it would really take it to another level. Wish it came with more of the frosting/dip.
For drinks we had some of the best in the area we’ve had and not overpriced! Before tip it came out to $34 for everything. Not bad at all!!
We the Hop Margarita (I believe as the name) and the second drink I forgot the name of but it has I think 3 fruit juices. We went about an hour before Trivia Night (on Thursdays 7pm) and it was just starting to pick up. The music cut out every few minutes which made you very aware of everyone else there. Wish they also advertised the pretzels with a sign somewhere inside that shows the different options better. We will definitely be back and I hope we can get this rating higher in the future!
Is there anything we should try on our next visit?

My husband (I’m on his username, whoops) and I have become regulars here since stopping at HopKnot last Spring. We have tried just about everything on the menu and we are never disappointed! Great service and great food! Absolutely love her beer cheese and burgers on a pretzel bun! Def worth the stop!

I was skeptical about this place because it replaced White Dog, best wings around. Didn’t know that they folded the white dog wings into their menu. Went there today and confirmed that they are the same delicious wings from before. Food was great! Service was great. Bartender was literally standing next to me the moment I walked in ready to serve. No Football specials, hopefully they change this. Had a pumpkin stout beer, 8% alcohol, tasty and put me on my butt. Highly recommend the wings and this place overall. Nice spread of wings, fries, and beer, only spent $50. Not bad.

Miracle pop-up bar at Hop Knot was so much fun! Festive drinks, great decorations, and amazing stuffed pretzels. Even had homemade Christmas cookies for dessert!

We loved the Miracle Pop-up drinks and food, especially since they had vegan options and were knowledgeable about their products in terms of dietary restrictions. The decorations looked great as well and the staff were friendly even when it got busy.

I was SOOO excited to here that this opened again after a few years.
Their kitchen closes at 9:30 and I walked in at 9:34. Kitchen lights off, and wouldn’t serve me. I am beyond disappointed, as I drove over 30 minutes to get here. We even called ahead, and the website doesn’t say it closes early.
I was SO excited and I may not even go back. Not normal to close that early…

Called last night and tried to order 6 stuffed pretzels for myself and the family. Upon ordering, I was informed I can only order FOUR items on the menu for takeout, not the 6 that I was hoping for. I have never been told by a business that I’m not allowed to buy MORE food than they allow. Seems like a very interesting way to run a business, put a limit on how much product the customer can buy. I wanted 6 pretzels, they would only allow me to get 4, and weren’t willing to “bend the rules” and make more business, So I called the restaurant 2 minutes away from them and ordered as much food as I desired. They were happy to accommodate me and take my money. 4 menu items won’t feed my family of 5, so I won’t bother dialing The Hop Knot’s number again.

I love hop knot. I was disappointed when they closed in Middletown but fortunately they opened a new franchise in Portland just over the Arrigoni bridge!
If you love pretzels, this is definitely your kind of place. They have traditional pretzels, dessert pretzels, and several “entree” style pretzels!
Check it out!

Wonderful place. They have a good selection of brews and the food is tasty. I loved the stuffed pretzels. I want to try them all. A great local establishment. I would like to see more porters and stouts.
