Long-running, family-owned Mexican eatery serving classic dishes in a colorful, low-key space.

Based on its location, this place looks like it might be a bit divey from the outside, but once you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly service, a cute and welcoming atmosphere, and reasonably priced, good food.
The fresh salsas were outstanding—and nicely spicy!
They do have a limited cocktail menu (a few margaritas, wine, and beer), but the margarita I tried was decent and we had great service from Amparo.

Great food, great service, and great price. This hit the spot while waiting for my car to be done in the shop. Cute atmosphere, and really enjoyed the nice little touch of the after meal cookie.

Ordered takeout and was pleased with how fast my order was ready. I grew up on the Navajo rez and I’m pretty impressed with the quality of theirs. It was fresh, fluffy, and not at all greasy so you know their oil is changed regularly. The taco salad was hefty so good, my guy done woofed it down, so I wasn’t able to grab a pic.. the dessert sopas were delicious, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. The dessert chimi was amazing and kinda like a Spanish twist on the smores.

The food was definitely tasty but I could tell my experience was hampered by choosing takeout.
The Mexican style tacos which is somewhere between a soft taco and a hard shell taco were so soggy by the time I got home they just split right away and the tortilla became a waterlogged mess, but the meat inside was delicious. Both beef and pork.
However the chimichanga enchi style was awesome. No complaints. The rice was also extremely tender and fluffy. Almost cloud like.
Will definitely come back because the opportunity for a 5 star experience is here.

I am honored to be a patron at this establishment for almost 20 years. They changed ownership a couple years ago, but still kept it in the same family. They remodeled a few things, kept the same traditional menu, and continue to treat everyone who walks through the door like they are guests in their home for a meal. The bright colors, gorgeous mural, and numerous paintings, give you something to look at every time you visit.

Fresh quality food with good service. Food was very flavorful and hot. The chips and salsa are amazing and worth the stop at this restaurant alone. Definitely a new fan of El Bravo

Local family owned. Was frequented by Doc Severensen, Gov Rose Mofford, Gov Jan Brewer,& other famous people. The owners are great. Good, is good, they also make tortilla cookies.

Nice little spot for some good Mexican food. All food was like how nana makes it. One item that stood out was the rice. Im extremely hard to please when it comes to rice. This rice was the most flavorful and cooked perfectly I’ve ever had ever. Only thing I would change is a spicier salsa for the chips but I do like my salsa spicy spicy.

The service was great, but the item I ordered was not very good. I was the only patron at the time I ordered, so it wasn’t busy. Still, the burrito I ordered was made with a very under cooked tortilla. It had a strange, doughy texture. Considering that I was the only customer, and the manager(owner?) brought the plate out, I can only assume that this is the normal type of tortilla they serve.
