Our first time here and it was so great. We got a cozy little table in the corner. We loved that we got salad and soup with our meal. Both were so good. The salad was beautiful and the French onion soup was the best. Our main entrees were fantastic and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back. We had the sweetest waitress. Her name was Brooklyn (I think thats spelled wrong). She reminded us of a Disney princess, she was just so thoughtful and sweet.

The service (Brooklyn) was fantastic. The courses were each brought out at good times. The soup was delicious, the ribeye was delicious, and we’ll definitely be back!

Very Nice Supper Club in Hartford. The Friday Fish Fry featured some of the worst potato pancakes I’ve ever had met with some of the best French fries I’ve ever had. The Cole slaw was solid and the fried Cod had some very good pieces while others were very chewy.

Good Service and Atmosphere: 3.5

Table was a tad small for all of the delicious food you get for this meal. But that and that alone is my only gripe. Amazing food! Wonderful staff!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday. Have been coming here for many years. Nice small town cozy atmosphere. Had the queen filet with mashed potatoes and it was good. The meal also came with excellent fresh homemade bread and butter, soup and a salad. I had the tomato bisque and it was excellent. Service was good. Would recommend.

Even though everything wasn’t perfect, I’m still giving this place 5 stars because the Prime Rib and breaded mushrooms were phenomenal! The prime rib was Tender and juicy and way better than the Sawmill Inn. The breaded mushrooms were fresh, crispy, and a great portion for sharing. Best breaded mushrooms i’ve had. I also love that you get both soup and salad with your meal. The salad came with quality ingredient. This is not an cheap iceberg lettuce salad.

There are only a few areas of opportunity but they won’t stop be from returning. I’m only mentioning it so the restaurant might make some adjustments if possible. 1. Horseradish sauce was on the sweet side and rather thick. I prefer more horseradish and a sauce consistency. I didn’t use the horseradish sauce because of this. I just ate my prime rib with the delicious ajus. 2. Across the board, we all agreed the french onion soup was way too salty. I want to note, I like salt a lot but it was way too salty. So much my friend couldn’t eat the soup. Also. the cheese on top was overdone. 3. The service was average. The restaurant wasn’t busy and the waitress forgot to bring us bread during the meal and didn’t keep up on refills. 4. Atmosphere: I love the charm of the old building, but the second floor dining area feels a bit claustrophobic due to the low ceilings. In the future, I would prefer to be on the main floor. This is unavoidable for the owners due to the age of the building.
In the end, it was a great meal. I will definitely be back because that prime rib and breaded mushrooms were excellent.

Very quick service. The food was piping hot and delicious! The waitress was on top of any accommodations we needed. The limited menu made it easier to choose which items to try. It is a bit loud in the restaurant though. Will definitely be back.

I had a great experience here.
I made a reservation for Sunday night and I recommend doing the same any day as the place is busy and great food.
Some great baked French onion soup. Bread was great. Then for the Pork Schitznel
One of the best I’ve had in all my travels and the spatzel was authentic AF
Wife had the chicken Parm which she said was very good but a plain sauce.
Server was amazing
I’m a server of 20 years and then place is doing everything right.
Get the schnitzel
Ambiance is great too
