I stopped by Primo’s Mexican Food & Cantina on Friday, October 31st, after a long flight—tired, hungry, and craving something light during happy hour. The service was wonderful! The server seemed a bit busy juggling multiple things at once—pickups, a DoorDash order, and dine-in guests—but she handled it all like a pro. She was friendly, cordial, and made me feel welcome.
I ordered a Chamango, which was delicious (though I didn’t really taste the liquor), and the happy hour taquitos and nachos—both were perfect choices for a light, satisfying bite. Overall, a great experience, tasty food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Even though I have other plans next time, it’s comforting to know there’s a nice Mexican cantina nearby that I’ll happily return to.

Raised and lived in san diego my whole life, surprisingly first time I’ve been here to Primos and I gotta say they made me the best california burrito I’ve ever had in my life. Great vibes and environment as well, and the customer service is great but the food? Amazing! Nice scenery also.

Excellent Mexican restaurant! We had the QuesaMas taco and the beef hard shell taco and both were very flavorful. The chips were salty and warm, perfect! There was plenty of room to sit and eat, and they have many specials going on all the time. The burritos looked HUGE!

Big on flavor. Great atmosphere. Lots to try. If there is something on special try it. Heads up The corn tortillas are delicious. Oh the Mulitas are delicious . They do not skimp on the guac. The burrito in the pick is the regular size.

Been here several times and overall not bad. Had the 3 taquitos supreme and a steak taco which was very chewy and not tender. Bet the steak pre-cooked and reheated on stovetop. The taquitos have been consistent and hard to mess up. I’ve had better and worst than here. Staff (the two regular females), are moody…some days friendly, others, grumpy. Primos is not my go to spot for Mexican food, but decent if the area, however Roberto’s just opened not far away, but pricier.

Fast service! I ordered the chicken fajitas and the 619 monster burrito. The biggest burrito I’ve ever seen! Both were flavorful and the portions were so big there was enough for a second meal. Great value! They also offer complimentary salsa with 4 options.
