Waffle House #1187 is hands-down the best Waffle House I’ve ever visited. Our waitress, Lesa, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, warm, and welcoming. My husband couldn’t stop talking about how Carl made some of the best grits he’s ever had. The rest of the team, including Gabby and Ashley, were just as friendly and made the whole experience feel like breakfast with family. We’ll definitely be back!

One of two WH’s in Beaufort, I’m at the one on Boundary Street. It wasn’t my first choice for breakfast this morning but the light were on and they were open at 7:30 am unlike some other places that said they would be open but weren’t. I try to avoid arriving after midnight with the post-bar crowd.
I’ve had mostly consistent experiences across the Waffle House chain. When they’re good, they’re good and when they’re not, they’re awful. This was no different. Same layout. Same crew yelling out orders. Same tables needing to be cleared. Same spotty silverware. But the floors were reasonably clean, the music wasn’t overly loud and I my order was placed and delivered correctly.
Hash brown bowl with ham, eggs and cheese. A big portion and with coffee that was refilled as needed. A filling meal that kept me going for several hours.

The food was amazing, hot, and quick. Ray Ray was an amazing sever and overall all of the employees seemed really nice. They washed their hands and changed gloves. Very clean. 10/10 would recommend. Only reason not 5 starts is because the cook cracked eggs and i wasn’t sure if he got egg on his glove but, that’s just something I was thinking about not for sure.

visited this location in Beaufort, South Carolina, on the morning of October 12, 2025. My husband waited patiently in a long line to order one sandwich. When it was finally his turn to be served, the cashier — a pregnant, dark-skinned woman — said she was not serving anyone else at that time. However, immediately afterward, she called out politely to the white gentleman who was behind my husband and offered to take his order.

This was very upsetting to witness, and even the customer behind us seemed uncomfortable. It gave the impression of unfair or discriminatory treatment, which should never happen in a workplace. We are new to the area and have visited only once before with no issues, but this experience left us feeling unwelcome. I hope management looks into this and ensures that all customers are treated equally and respectfully.

Very rude. Scolded my young daughter when she went to grab her fork before the woman was done setting the table. My waffle came complete with eggshells inside. With how “friendly” the waitress was I didn’t dare send back my food for fear of something… extra finding its way into it. We came around 2pm which apparently is the time shifts change. She asked me to go ahead and pay her now. I love Waffle House. I’ll never go to this one again.

When you walk in for starters they have chairs stopping you from dining in. The cook was ask to make to make hasbrowns golden and he ignored us. The lady taking the order rather argue with other costumers instead of taking my order. The worst service ever. Really need to shut it down till you find better staff
